Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main overall patterns: film club remains the largest activity, table tennis rises markedly, amateur dramatics declines, and musical performances begin later and grow. These are relevant features and support the overview. Several details, however, are inaccurate or unclear: martial arts is reported at around 47, whereas it stays roughly between 32 and 38, and it fluctuates rather than remaining constant. The statement that musical performances had “no participants” in 2020 contradicts the chart; the zero figures apply only to 2000 and 2005. Your account of table tennis and amateur dramatics is broadly accurate, though the trends could be described more precisely. The overview and selection of key features are effective, but correcting these details and developing the comparisons more consistently would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing the data. This makes the main trends easy to locate, and phrases such as “by the end of the period” help orient the reader. However, the final paragraph contains a confusing sequence: “In 2020, there were no participants … it continued till 2005” makes the timeline and subject difficult to follow. Some links between ideas are also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “and” to join several developments. Grouping the series more deliberately and using clear time markers—for example, distinguishing the initial years from the later rise—would improve progression and cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “participants,” “increased,” “declination,” and “reached,” so the trends are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal reporting language. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “reached at the second position,” “slight falcutations,” and “had a growth of around 15 participants.” Spelling errors—including “Amature,” “paritcipants,” and “atfer”—are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the report. Choose precise trend language and check spelling carefully; for example, describe a series as fluctuating or remaining stable, and say that participation rose to a particular figure rather than having a growth of that number.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including the contrast in “Although there were no participants … musical performances increased by 2020.” Most of the intended meaning can be understood, but some sentence structures and punctuation need more control. The opening sentence incorrectly separates “Melbourne” and “Australia” with a full stop, while “With some slight falcutations film club and martial arts remained constant with number…” lacks a clear grammatical structure and article use. The final sentence also joins several clauses in a way that obscures the timeline. Practise forming complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and use commas or full stops to separate distinct trends. More accurate sentence construction would make your comparisons easier to follow.
