Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main overall pattern: film club remains the leading activity, table tennis rises markedly, and amateur dramatics declines to the lowest level. You also cover all five activities and include relevant figures, so the response addresses the task well. Some details, however, are inaccurate or too broadly stated: film-club participation falls from about 64 to 60 by 2010 before recovering, rather than remaining the same until 2015; table tennis reaches about 36 in 2015, not 38; and martial arts fluctuates between roughly 32 and 38 rather than staying at 38. The overview also says table tennis ranks second throughout, although it only becomes the second-highest by the end. More precise comparisons and trend descriptions would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear four-paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details about the activities. Grouping film club and table tennis together, then discussing the other series, gives the report a generally logical progression. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Although, film club had the highest participants” is not properly connected to the preceding sentence, and repeated phrases such as “the number of participants” make the account less smooth. The sequence of table-tennis figures is also confusing when “increased to almost 20 by 2000” is given after the 2000 starting point. Use clearer time markers and vary referencing so each comparison follows naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of trend vocabulary, including “fluctuated,” “hovered,” “surged,” “rose sharply,” and “considerable downfall,” which helps describe changes rather than simply list figures. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, however: “the highest participants” and “lowest popular activity” do not express rankings naturally, while “made more progress” is vague for a rising figure. There are also spelling errors, including “tabble” and “futhermore.” Aim for precise chart language and check spelling: for example, describe a series as having the highest number of participants, and say that participation increased or declined. This would make the vocabulary more accurate and controlled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and longer sentences, and the main trends are generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement and sentence construction. For example, “the number of participants … were” should use a singular verb, and “they remained same” needs an article or a different construction. “Although, film club had…” is an incomplete or incorrectly linked clause, while “these participants increased to almost 20 by 2000” has an unclear reference and time relationship. Articles and prepositions are also sometimes missing or awkward, as in “participants of film club.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and how subordinate clauses are joined. More accurate control of these patterns would make the varied sentence forms clearer.
