Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify all five activities and make some relevant comparisons, including that the film club remains the most popular and that amateur dramatics declines. However, the account only partially reports the graph’s main features because several figures and trends are inaccurate or unclear. For example, table tennis reaches about 54 participants in 2020, not 55 in 2010, and musical performances begin to rise in 2010, not 2005. The film club’s small decline to 2010 and subsequent rise are broadly captured, but the overview at the end repeats its popularity rather than summarising the contrasting overall trends. Avoid unsupported claims about participants’ ages, gender, or preferences, and describe numbers of participants rather than percentages.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response is divided into paragraphs, generally one for each activity, and signposting such as “On the other hand,” “Thirdly,” and “In last” helps readers follow the sequence. However, the organisation is largely a list rather than a clear progression from an overview to the most important comparisons. The final sentence repeats the film-club point instead of drawing together the main trends. Some linking phrases are awkward or do not express a clear relationship, and repeated openings such as “we will talk about” make the writing mechanical. Begin with a concise overview, group the rising and falling activities, and use comparisons between series to create a more connected account.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of vocabulary related to change, including “peak,” “draw back,” “significant difference,” and “lost their interest.” This shows an effort to describe trends, but frequent spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural expressions make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “illutrate,” “intrested,” and “piece of cake Rise”; the last phrase does not clearly describe a small increase. “Industry” is also repeatedly used where “activity” or “club” is intended. Use accurate, conventional graph language and check spelling carefully. More precise choices such as “fluctuated,” “declined steadily,” and “rose sharply” would help communicate the data clearly without relying on conversational or unsupported wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There are attempts to use longer sentences and time clauses, for example, “after 2010 there is a significant difference,” but control is inconsistent. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are often missing, producing run-ons, while fragments such as “Which is most favourite of young generation mostly Boys” interrupt the flow. Verb forms and agreement are also frequently inaccurate: “he face” and “Graph standing” do not fit the intended subjects or tense. Articles, plurals, and sentence construction need more reliable control. Use past-tense forms consistently for the period shown, and build shorter, complete sentences before adding subordinate clauses. These recurring errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow.
