Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main overall patterns: film-club attendance remains above 60, table tennis rises sharply, musical performances grow from zero, and amateur dramatics declines. The figures you give for the latter two trends are broadly consistent with the graph, and you also note that martial arts fluctuates around 30–40. This covers the task well, with a clear overview and relevant comparisons. However, some features are less fully reported: film-club numbers dip slightly before recovering, while martial arts has no sustained upward or downward trend. The statement that film club has the maximum throughout is also inaccurate for 2020, when table tennis is still lower but has narrowed the gap considerably. More precise comparisons and a clearer account of the changing rankings would strengthen the response further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable progression: an introduction, an overview of the main trends, and then further details about film club, table tennis and musical performances. This makes the information generally easy to follow. However, the overview and detail are not clearly separated into paragraphs, and several ideas are crowded into long sentences. For example, the sentence beginning “There are total five type of participants” moves from listing activities to summarising trends without a clear transition. Linking phrases such as “while” and “from 2010” help show contrast and sequence, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. Use distinct paragraphs for the overview and key details, and group related series together to make the progression more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing trends, including “increased gradually,” “sharp rise,” “fluctuating,” and “decreased dramatically.” These choices communicate the broad movements in the graph. However, the range is not always precise or natural: “over all increase” is too broad because not every activity rises, and “number of people” is repeated where “participants” would be more suitable. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “Marital,” “follwoinng,” “particpants,” and “slighlty.” Some collocations are awkward, such as “represents an sharp rise” and “reaching a number of more than 10 participant.” Check spelling carefully and choose trend language that accurately reflects each series.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex sentences, using structures such as “while Amateur dramatics participants decreased” and “from 2010 it represents a sharp rise.” The main message is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “There are total five type” needs a more accurate determiner and plural form, while “The maximum number of participants are” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Articles and sentence structure also need attention in “it represents an sharp rise,” and the opening phrase “illustrates about number” is not grammatically complete. Some sentences combine several points, making control less secure. Practise accurate plural and article use, agreement, and sentence boundaries while retaining your attempts at complex comparisons.
