The graph represent data on numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for two decades from 2000 till 2020.

Firstly, Musical performance has no participants in 2000 which gradually increase since 2005 to 2020, Other activities Table tennis and Amateur dramtics has almost 15 and 25 numbers of participants was there in 2000 but by the time there was drastic change in both activities where Table tennis went to peak nearby 60 participants in 2020, Amateur dramatics fall to less than 10 members. Therefore Martial arts has almost 40 participants since two decade there is no major fluctuation. Although, Film club has maximum number of member for two decades comparing to other activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify several important patterns: film club remains the largest activity, table tennis rises substantially, and amateur dramatics declines. These observations are broadly supported by the chart. However, the response is under the required 150 words (119 words; 14 words copied from the prompt are excluded), and the overview is incomplete: musical performances begin at zero and rise, but are not the lowest activity by 2020, when amateur dramatics has only about six participants. Some figures and trends are also imprecise, such as saying table tennis reaches “nearby 60” rather than about 54, and describing musical performances as increasing “since 2005” when they remain at zero until 2010. Report the main changes more accurately and develop them with key comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic sequence, moving from an introduction to activity details and then a concluding comparison. The final sentence also attempts to summarise the extremes. However, the body combines several trends in one long sentence, making the relationships between them difficult to follow; for example, the sentence beginning “Other activities Table tennis and Amateur dramtics” shifts abruptly from one series to another. “Firstly,” “Therefore,” and “Although” do not consistently show the logical links between ideas, and “Finally” introduces a conclusion that largely repeats the earlier point about the film club. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and details, group rising and falling activities, and connect comparisons with clearer, more precise linking.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant chart vocabulary, including “participants,” “maximum,” “fluctuation,” “peak,” and “fall,” so the reader can understand the broad trends. There is also an attempt to vary wording rather than repeat “increase” throughout. However, several choices are inaccurate or awkward for describing data: “went to peak nearby 60” and “has lowest number” are not natural collocations, while “drastic change” is too general to explain the contrasting movements. Spelling errors such as “dramtics” and inconsistent singular/plural forms also reduce control. Aim for precise trend language and standard collocations, such as “rose to approximately 54” and “declined steadily,” while checking spelling and activity names.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and more extended sentences, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a clause beginning “where.” However, control is uneven, and several errors make the relationships between ideas harder to interpret. For example, “The graph represent data” has subject–verb disagreement, and “which gradually increase” does not maintain the correct verb form or clearly identify its subject. The phrase “there is no major fluctuation” also shifts tense despite describing the whole period, while “has almost 15 and 25 numbers … was there” has faulty sentence structure and agreement. Use past-tense verbs consistently for the historical data, check singular/plural agreement, and build shorter, complete sentences before attempting more complex comparisons.
