The line graph illustrates that how many participants participated in different activities at two social centre located in Melbourne and Austalia between the year 2000 to 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that participants in film club were higher throughout the periofd whereras, amateur dramatics had the least particpants. Another interseting point is that particpants table tennis participants sharply rose from the middle of the total period
Looking at the details, 15 particpants of table tennis particpated in 2000 than it slightly rose to almost 20 in 2005 and it levelled off at 2010, from 2010 it surged to 35 and 50 in the year 2015 and 2020 in turns. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main contrast between the consistently high film-club figures and the decline in amateur dramatics, and you select table tennis as a notable rising activity. However, the account is only partly accurate and some important features are underdeveloped. The overview says amateur dramatics had the fewest participants throughout, although musical performances began at zero and were lower in the early years. The martial-arts description is also inaccurate: the figures fluctuate between about 32 and 38, not between 38 and 40. Table tennis rises sharply, but the reported final value of 50 is below the chart’s approximate 54. Include musical performances and give a more precise overview of the contrasting trends to make the summary more complete and reliable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and two detail paragraphs grouping activities. This makes the main comparisons reasonably easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Looking at the details,” and “By contrast” to signal shifts between points. At times, however, the progression is weakened by unclear or awkward connections, as in “from 2010 it surged to 35 and 50 in the year 2015 and 2020 in turns.” The overview’s second sentence is also difficult to interpret because it combines several ideas without clear punctuation. Improve cohesion by linking each figure explicitly to its year and using references such as “this figure” only when the referent is unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for describing trends, including “fluctuated,” “levelled off,” “surged,” and “declined.” These choices show an attempt to go beyond basic descriptions, and the general meaning is usually recoverable. However, spelling errors are frequent, including “periofd,” “particpants,” “interseting,” and “Austalia,” which reduce accuracy and polish. Some word combinations are also unnatural or repetitive: “participants participated” and “participants of martial arts” could be expressed more naturally as “people took part” and “martial-arts participants.” Aim for accurate spelling and use standard chart language consistently, such as “the number of participants rose” or “membership remained stable.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses linked with “whereas,” “after,” and “by contrast.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “illustrates that how many participants participated” has an incorrect clause structure, while “it was rose to again 65” uses an incorrect verb form and word order. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “two social centre located” and the long table-tennis sentence joined with commas. Practise forming accurate overview sentences and use past-tense verbs consistently: for example, “The number rose to 54 by 2020.” Shorter, correctly punctuated sentences would improve clarity.
