Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several important features: film club remains the most popular activity, table tennis rises markedly, amateur dramatics declines, and musical performances begin at zero. These observations broadly match the graph. However, the account is only partly developed: it gives almost no precise comparisons across the five years, and the martial-arts description as having a “linear interest” is unclear despite its fluctuations. The overview also does not clearly summarise the main contrast between the strong growth in table tennis and the steep fall in amateur dramatics. Include key figures at selected points and describe the overall patterns more explicitly to make the report more complete and accurate.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence, moving from an introduction to several trends and then a closing statement. However, the organisation does not create a clear progression through the data: most trends are placed together in one paragraph, and the final sentence repeats the context rather than adding a useful summary. Connections between ideas are also limited, so comparisons such as table tennis rising while amateur dramatics falls are not clearly linked. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and the main details, and group related trends together. More precise linking and referencing would help the reader follow how the activities compare over time.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant activity names and make attempts at trend vocabulary, including “sudden increase,” “highest fall,” and “peaking up.” This gives the reader a general sense of the changes, but several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “scales for different activities,” “interest on,” and “linear interest.” There is also a spelling error in “yeear.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear and limit precision. Use standard graph-reporting collocations and distinguish participant numbers from people’s interest. For example, describe figures as “the number of participants” and trends as “rose steadily,” “fluctuated,” or “declined sharply,” as appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main trends can generally be understood. However, control is uneven in several sentences. The opening phrase “in between the yeear of 2000 to 2020” has problems with prepositions and number, while “activities … that carried by people” is missing a suitable verb form. In “There is one specific activity … it started,” the sentence connection is faulty, and “The highest fall … in 2020” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise forming complete sentences with accurate subjects and verbs, and use past-tense verbs consistently when describing the period. Clearer sentence boundaries will make your comparisons easier to understand.
