The line graph illustrates information about the amount of participants engaged in five different physical activities at a social centre situated in Melbourne, Australia between 2000 and 2020.
Among the five activities, highest participants are participated in film club activities and lower amount of participants are engaged in musical performance. But there is lots of fluctuations are seen in every activities according to the timeframe.
About 60-70 participants are agreed to paricipate in film club and there is very little fluctuation is observed in the mentioned timeframe. Besides about 0-15 participants engage in musical performance but from 2005 to 2020, the rate is inceasing whereas amateur dramatics was popular in 2005 but now it's not verey popular to the participants, so it is declined rapidly in 2020.
The other activity, martial art's condition looks alike film club. The participant's number is remaining very close every year. Otherhand, participants showed a good interest in table tennis in 2020 and it was gradually increasing from 2010 which gather almost 30 particpants more than ever.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main broad patterns: film club remains the most popular activity, musical performances rise from zero, amateur dramatics declines, and table tennis grows strongly. These are relevant features, and the response covers the chart’s overall period. However, some comparisons are imprecise or misleading. Musical performances reach about 18 participants, not merely “0–15,” and table tennis rises from 20 in 2010 to 54 in 2020, rather than increasing gradually from 2010. The claim that there are fluctuations in “every” activity also overlooks the clear sustained trends in table tennis and amateur dramatics. Include a concise overview and support it with a few accurate start-and-end figures; this would make the key features clearer and more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic progression from an introduction to general comparisons and then comments on individual activities. Grouping film club and martial arts as relatively stable, while discussing the changing activities, gives the reader some structure. However, the second paragraph’s broad claim that every activity fluctuates does not prepare the reader for the more specific trends that follow, and the final paragraph combines martial arts and table tennis without a clear transition. Linking expressions such as “By contrast” and “Meanwhile” could clarify these relationships. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, particularly “Otherhand” and “which gather almost 30 participants more than ever.” Organise the body around stable versus changing activities and make each comparison explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “fluctuation,” “declined,” “gradually increasing,” and “participants,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision. For example, “amount of participants” is not the natural expression for people, and “the rate is increasing” does not clearly describe the number shown. “Good interest” and “more than ever” are also vague in this context. There are spelling errors such as “paricipate,” “inceasing,” “verey,” and “particpants.” Use precise terms such as “number,” “rose,” “fell,” and “remained stable,” and check spelling carefully to make the comparisons easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a contrast between amateur dramatics and musical performances. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms are frequent enough to make several statements difficult to read. For example, “highest participants are participated” has an incorrect passive construction, while “there is lots of fluctuations are seen” combines incompatible structures. “The participant’s number is remaining” also has problems with possession and verb form. Aim for clear subject–verb patterns, such as “The number of participants remained stable,” and use past tense consistently for the historical data. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would help before you add more complex comparisons.
