Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several important patterns: film club remains the most popular, amateur dramatics declines, and table tennis rises substantially. The opening figures are also broadly accurate. However, the summary is only partial because the response stops while describing film club, leaving the later trends and comparisons for martial arts, table tennis and musical performances largely unreported. The overview also says musical performances had no participants “till the year 2005,” whereas the chart shows zero in both 2000 and 2005, with participation beginning by 2010. To make the report more complete, cover the full period for each major changing activity and compare their final figures.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details about the starting figures and then film club. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression is limited because the final paragraph ends mid-description, and the body does not develop the other key trends identified in the overview. Some linking is also mechanical, as in “Next come” and the repeated use of “In the year.” Organise the details into clearer comparisons—for example, grouping the declining amateur dramatics with the rising table tennis—and use transitions that show contrast or change over time. Ensure each paragraph is complete and leads logically to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “most popular,” “dropped,” “slightly dropped” and “increasing.” However, the range is limited and some choices are imprecise or repetitive. “Amount of participants” is not the natural collocation; use “number of participants.” “Visitors” is also less accurate than “participants” for this graph, and “second worst result” is an informal, evaluative description of a figure. There are spelling errors in “perfomances” and “Martial arst,” and “amateur dramatic” is not the correct activity label. Use precise chart language consistently and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You communicate through mostly simple sentence patterns, with some attempts to combine ideas, such as “The less popular are musical performances that did not have participants till the year 2005.” However, grammatical control is uneven. The introduction is missing articles in “at social centre,” and “The less popular are” has an awkward construction. “Amateur dramatic had” also shows an inaccurate form for the activity, while “Number of participants of film club slightly dropped” has an unclear noun phrase and word order. The final sentence is incomplete, ending “at the end o.” Practise accurate article use and complete sentence structures, and vary sentence forms while checking that each sentence has a clear subject and verb.
