The line graph shows the number of atheletes playing different games at a social centre in Melbourne, Australia from 2000 to 2020.

Overall, the paticipants in film club and martial arts shows very less increase over the 20 years. The players involvement in the amateur dramatics are decreased while in the table tennis participation was surprisingly increased. The musical performances were not the part of activity in first five years.

The high number of participants were in the film club that are in the range of 60-70. Then the martial arts players in between 30-40 with a little up and down. The number of players in amateur dramatics are approximately 38 in 2005 which got decreased in next 15 years.

The table tennis participants were same as the dramatic participants in 2010 which is about 20. Interestingly, the musical performance is initiated in 2005, when its participation is zero and then reach to nearly 20 performers in next 15 years.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main overall patterns: film-club attendance remains high, amateur dramatics declines, table tennis rises sharply, and musical performances begin later. These are relevant features and give the response a clear overview. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear. Amateur dramatics is about 28 participants in 2005, not approximately 38, and musical performances first register participants in 2010, rather than being “initiated in 2005.” The overview also says film club and martial arts show an increase, although both fluctuate and finish close to their starting figures. You mention the table-tennis comparison in 2010, but do not report its substantial rise to 54 by 2020. More precise reporting of the key changes would make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing selected activities. This makes the main information easy to locate, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Interestingly” help signal the writer’s purpose. However, the progression within the detail paragraphs is not always smooth. The third paragraph moves from film club to martial arts and then amateur dramatics, while the final paragraph shifts among three activities without fully tracing their changes over time. Some references are also unclear, such as “the dramatic participants,” which requires the reader to infer that this means amateur dramatics. Grouping the stable activities together and the contrasting trends together, with clearer links between comparisons, would strengthen the organisation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “participants,” “participation,” “decreased,” and “up and down,” so the main trends are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “surprisingly increased.” However, several word choices and collocations are imprecise for a graph summary: “players involvement” and “the musical performance is initiated” do not express the data naturally, and “very less increase” is awkward. Spelling errors such as “atheletes” and “paticipants” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, neutral trend language and use the activity names consistently; this will make the description clearer and more appropriately formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. For example, “participants … shows” should use a plural verb, while “The high number of participants were” has a mismatch between the singular noun “number” and the verb. In “The number of players in amateur dramatics are approximately 38 … which got decreased,” the agreement and verb form are also inaccurate. Articles and phrasing need attention in “in the range of 60-70” and “in first five years.” Practise checking each sentence’s subject and verb, and use straightforward past-tense forms to report the figures and changes.
