Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You provide a clear overview of the main patterns: the film club remains the largest activity, table tennis rises substantially, and amateur dramatics declines. Most figures and comparisons are broadly accurate, including the film club’s level and the final table-tennis ranking. However, one important detail is substantially misreported: musical performances rise to about 18 participants, not around 27. The film club’s 2010 figure is also closer to 60 than 62, though this is a smaller discrepancy. The overview identifies the main trends, but some details are unclear or insufficiently precise, particularly the description of martial arts as fluctuating. More accurate reporting of the musical-performance trend and clearer selection of key figures would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and a body paragraph reporting figures. The main trends are generally grouped sensibly, and phrases such as “on the contrary” and “after that” help show relationships between changes. However, the body paragraph moves between activities, and some linking is mechanical or confusing. For example, “in contrast falling from about 35 to 32 in 2000 to 2005” makes the comparison difficult to follow, while “after that it again decline and again increased” does not clearly identify the stages. Consider using separate paragraphs to group the rising and falling activities, and use precise time markers and references so each comparison is easy to track.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of vocabulary for describing trends, including “significant growth,” “decline,” “surge” and “fluctuating.” These choices help communicate the broad patterns. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or too informal for a data report: “had a downfall,” “falling apart,” and “great surge” are not natural descriptions in this context. There are also spelling errors such as “slighly” and “incresed,” and “remain” is not the correct form in the overview. Aim for precise, conventional trend language and check spelling carefully. This would make the account more natural and exact without requiring a much wider vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including comparisons and clauses linked with “but” and “after that.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “The film club remain” needs subject–verb agreement, and “The martial arts was” has the same issue. The opening phrase “between 2000 to 2020” uses an incorrect preposition pattern; write “between 2000 and 2020.” There are also tense and verb-form problems in “it raised about 38” and “it again decline,” as well as inconsistent capitalisation after full stops. Review agreement, past-tense forms and sentence punctuation, while keeping the useful variety of sentence structures you already attempt.
