Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially and fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 150 words, stopping at 130 words. While the writer attempts to summarize the overall process of recycling plastic bottles by mentioning nine stages, the description is very basic and lacks adequate extension or detail. Key features such as sorting, compressing, crushing, washing, and pellet production are mentioned superficially rather than reported clearly with relevant comparisons or fully developed explanations. Furthermore, the positioning of some steps lacks clarity due to linguistic limitations.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The text shows some organization with a basic introduction and progression through the steps of the diagram, but it lacks clear overall progression. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentences are often abruptly linked or disjointed, reflecting inadequate or repetitive use of cohesive devices such as 'To being', 'Next step', and 'In the six process'. Referencing between sentences is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical transitions impede the smooth flow of information from one stage of the recycling process to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent word choice, word form, and collocation issues, such as 'vestige' instead of waste, 'pressuried' instead of pressed, 'particals' instead of particles, and 'thypes' instead of types. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are unsuccessful due to inaccuracies in spelling and form, which restrict the precision needed for a clear report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentences and failing attempts at complex structures. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the text, for example: 'the man is throw', 'muncipaltical truck collect the all', 'sorting all the vest', and 'heating pellets to from'. These frequent errors frequently strain the reader and obscure the precise mechanics of the described industrial process.
