Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response identifies the broad topic and gives a general overview that the material passes through stages and becomes usable, which is relevant to the diagram. However, it does not summarise the process: none of the key stages—collection, sorting, compressing, crushing and washing, pellet production, or conversion into raw material—is explained. The claim that the products include “clothes, bags” is only partly supported; the diagram shows a T-shirt and carrier bag among several end products, but these are not described as the full outcome. The response is also substantially below the required 150 words, leaving the task minimally addressed. To improve, describe the stages in sequence and include the loop back to the recycling bin.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into two paragraphs: an opening statement followed by an overview beginning “Overall”. This gives the reader a simple starting structure. However, the ideas do not progress through the process, and the second paragraph largely repeats the first rather than adding stages or details. The connector “where as” does not express a clear contrast here, while “Then” introduces a result without explaining what happens before it. The sentence beginning “Overall” also runs together separate ideas. A clearer sequence using stages such as “First”, “Next” and “Finally”, with one paragraph for the process and a concise overview, would make the information easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a few relevant terms, including “recycling process”, “stages”, “equipments” and “Raw material”, so the topic is recognisable. However, the vocabulary is too limited to describe the diagram’s main actions and products, and some choices or spellings reduce clarity: “trensfers” is not correctly spelled, “decpict” is misspelled, and “related others products” is unnatural. “Equipments” is also not the appropriate form in this context; “equipment” is generally uncountable. Build a more precise process vocabulary, such as “collect”, “sort”, “compress”, “crush”, “wash”, “pellets” and “manufacture”, and use accurate product terms from the diagram.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both a simple opening and a longer overview sentence, but grammatical control is uneven. In “This picture shows that complete recycling process”, the article is missing; “where as” is incorrectly punctuated and does not form a suitable contrast. The second paragraph contains a sentence fragment: “Then Raw material used in the production…” needs a finite verb, such as “The raw material is then used…”. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and spacing, particularly where “equipments. Then” joins two clauses without a space or clear punctuation. Use complete sentences with a consistent present simple tense to describe the stages, and check articles, verb forms and punctuation.
