Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the general subject and mention several relevant stages, including collection, sorting, compressing, crushing, washing, pellet production and end products. However, the process is reported only minimally, and some details are inaccurate or unclear: for example, you say the pellets are “crushed and formed a raw material,” whereas they are heated to make raw material. The overview is also not a clear summary of the cycle; “different peoples garbages throughout the world” does not describe the main features shown. The response is 141 words, below the required 150. To develop the report, explain the sequence accurately and note that the process is a closed loop, with recycled products returning to the recycling bin.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to follow the process in sequence, using markers such as “Firstly,” “And after,” and “After producing.” This gives the reader some sense of movement through the stages. However, the response is not arranged into clear paragraphs, and the progression becomes difficult to follow when stages are repeated or mixed together. For instance, sorting, crushing and pellet production are described in overlapping sentences, while the final lines repeat the idea of recycling without clearly completing the cycle. Several connectors are also used mechanically. Organise the report into an introduction, a concise overview, and stage-by-stage paragraphs, using clear references such as “the bottles,” “these pellets” and “the resulting material” to link ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “recycling centre,” “compressed,” “raw material” and “end products,” so the topic is recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the meaning difficult to understand, such as “petellets,” “cut segements,” “garbages” and “different peoples garbages.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “water” does not identify the pictured end products, and “a lot of ways” does not explain what is produced. Use accurate process vocabulary and check spelling, especially for key terms. More precise choices such as “plastic pellets,” “washed,” “heated,” “reusable raw material” and “consumer products” would make the description clearer and more appropriate for an academic process report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe a sequence, but sentence structures are very limited and frequent errors sometimes obscure the relationships between stages. For example, “a truck driver collected these plastic bottles were garbages” combines clauses without a workable grammatical link, while “The Produced plastic petellets cut segements” lacks a clear subject–verb structure. Tense and voice are also inconsistent: “bottles were thrown” is followed by fragments such as “Then Heated into pellets.” Capitalisation and punctuation are unreliable, including sentence starts such as “And” and “Over all.” Practise writing complete passive sentences for each stage, for example, “The bottles are collected by truck and taken to a recycling centre,” and use consistent present simple throughout.
