Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the diagram as a recycling process and report several relevant stages, including collection, transport, crushing, washing, pellet production, heating and the creation of end products. However, the account is incomplete and some details are inaccurate or unclear: the sorting stage is described only as bottles being “store,” and the final products are listed without explaining that the raw material is used to make them. The overview is also limited to saying there are nine steps; it does not clearly summarise the process’s main feature, namely that it is a cycle in which products can return to the recycling bin. To improve, give a concise overview of the full loop and describe each stage more precisely, including sorting and the return arrow.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The stages are mostly presented in the order shown, and sequencing phrases such as “To start,” “Then,” and “in seventh step” help the reader follow the process. This provides some organisation, but the response is written as one continuous paragraph and relies heavily on repetitive step-by-step transitions. Several links between ideas are awkward or unclear, for example, “And the next step is that the bottles are delivered in recycling center and it is store.” Punctuation also makes some transitions difficult to read. Group the stages into a brief overview and a logically organised process description, and use clearer links such as “After sorting” and “Once the pellets have been heated” rather than repeatedly announcing step numbers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “recycling center,” “crushing machine,” “raw material,” and “products,” so the basic subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices, forms, and spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making the process hard to understand. Examples include “small bolls” for pellets, “give up the heat” for being heated, and “led pencils” for lead pencils. “Bottles are shaped in block” is also an imprecise description of compression. Build a more accurate process vocabulary and check spelling and collocations; terms such as “sort,” “compress,” “shred,” “pellets,” and “manufacture” would help you describe the stages more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can often infer the intended sequence. However, sentence structures are limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “This diagram show” should be “This diagram shows,” while “the person collect” and “it crush” need third-person singular forms. In “the raw material are ready so it produce,” the subject and verb do not agree, and the sentence combines ideas without clear punctuation. Practise accurate present-simple descriptions of processes, including passive forms such as “the bottles are collected” and “the pellets are heated,” and check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly matched verb.
