Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rater than competing against each other.
I completely, agree\ disagree, and in this easy, I will support my opinions with examples.
firstly, competition is a good way to work and study. for example In offices and schools there are lots of people everyone is not good to perform proper work and every student is not prepare their lesson properly so when their have a competition everyone put their all the efforts to compete and prove better him to others.
secondly, many people believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing. for example lots of people have not ability to work or study in a good way and he doesn't compete with others. So responsibilities of other people are try to cooperate with him. furthermore, teaching children to cooperation is develop a empathy and interpersonal skills.
Another significant aspect is, while competition has its place to motivating individuals and this leads to a heavy stress, anxiety and its left unchecked. cooperation is more powerful way toward a shared goal, maximizing efficiency and promoting the long-term well being. furthermore, fostering a spirit of mutual support is far more valuable than constant trying to outdo another.
In, conclusion, although competition can stimulate high performance and market innovations, cooperation is the superior approach. it builds strong relationships, solve large scale problems and creates a healthier, more balanced environments in all areas of life

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides and give a clear preference for cooperation in the conclusion, noting that it can build relationships and help solve large-scale problems. The discussion of competition also includes a relevant point about motivating people to perform better. However, the position is unclear in the introduction: “I completely, agree\ disagree” does not tell the reader what you actually believe. Several supporting ideas are difficult to follow or remain general, such as the claim that people who cannot work well should be cooperated with; a specific example would clarify this point. The response contains 222 words, so it is 28 words below the 250-word minimum; the 36 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each view with clearer reasoning and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate discussion of competition and cooperation, a further comparison, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “So responsibilities of other people…” does not clearly explain how cooperation works, while the later paragraph shifts from competition’s benefits to its harms without a smooth transition. The opening also contains a contradictory position, interrupting the argument’s direction. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then connect explanations and examples explicitly; check that pronouns such as “him” have clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “interpersonal skills,” “mutual support,” and “long-term well-being.” Phrases such as “shared goal” and “stimulate high performance” show an attempt to express more precise ideas. However, the range is uneven, and several word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors make parts of the argument awkward or unclear: “prove better him to others,” “a empathy,” and “market innovations” are examples. “Rater” also appears where “rather” is intended. Some expressions, including “good way to work and study,” are broad and repetitive. Aim for accurate collocations and forms, and choose vocabulary that states the intended relationship clearly rather than relying on general phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “although” and a clause beginning “while.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “everyone is not good to perform proper work” has an unclear structure, and “teaching children to cooperation is develop” combines forms incorrectly. In the conclusion, “cooperation … solve … and creates” has inconsistent subject–verb agreement. Capitalisation and punctuation are also unreliable, as in “firstly” after a full stop and the comma after “In.” Build accuracy first with complete, well-formed sentences, then practise complex clauses and check that each subject matches its verb.
