Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some People believes that in school and other life stages having compeition is helps individuals, while others believe that cooperation is better than competition with others.
From my perspective, I think there should be balance of feeling of both comeptitiveness and cooperation. This would help people in various phases of life.
People who considers competition at work place and school might help with dealing significant types of people and gives the impresssion of leadership as well as success. An environment like this has its own benefits, For instance, It allows students to have sense of accomplishment by winning awards. It builds the confidence and drives motivation. If I talk about my experience in school, I used to perform in numeruous music compeition and has won several awards in this field. All this enhanced the level of belief in my talent. However, every thing comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, in india, every other day, we get to hear about the news of suicides done by students due to failing in national compeitive exams.
Furthermore, If we talk about cooperation in our lives, in Today's world having connections with people has its own perks, such as gettting a job reference from friends, notes from seniors and faculty and many more. Healthy relationship in work environment makes the working hours enjoyable and good for mental health. I have heard various stories from my friends about their offices rivalry and toxic behaviour from the colleagues. Due to all this, They either resigned or suffering from anxiety.
To conclude, in my firm belief a Friendly competition encourages to achieve goals with positibe attitude. Moreover, Cooperation is essential in life as it increases chances of having better relationships with people around us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear position: you favour a balance between competition and cooperation. The discussion of competition is supported with personal experience of music competitions and a relevant example of pressure around national exams; the cooperation paragraph also gives practical benefits and workplace consequences. This meets the task well, though the two views are not developed equally: cooperation receives less explanation of how it benefits wider daily life, and the conclusion mainly restates your position rather than drawing the discussion together. To strengthen the response, explain more fully when competition is constructive and how cooperation can complement it, using specific reasoning alongside your examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. The progression is generally logical, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “every thing comes with its own advantages and disadvantages” shifts from the benefits of competition to exam-related suicides without explaining the link between excessive pressure and the need for balance. The opening also repeats the contrast before the position is fully established. Improve cohesion by making cause-and-effect relationships explicit and using pronouns or transitions that clearly connect each example to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “sense of accomplishment,” “drives motivation,” “toxic behaviour,” and “anxiety,” and these choices help communicate your examples. There is some range, but inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward: “compeition,” “numeruous,” “gettting,” “having connections … has its own perks,” and “Friendly competition encourages to achieve goals.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “dealing significant types of people.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For instance, you could describe competition as “motivating people to achieve their goals” and say that workplace cooperation “fosters positive relationships.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional phrasing (“This would help people…”) and clauses introduced by “while,” “if,” and “due to.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. Examples include “Some People believes,” “having compeition is helps,” “People who considers,” and “I used to perform … and has won.” The sentence about friends, notes, and other benefits also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Review subject–verb agreement and keep verb forms consistent; for example, write “Some people believe” and “I used to compete … and won several awards.” More consistently controlled complex sentences would improve clarity.
