Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individuals believe that competition at work, at school and in everyday life is a benefical.Other opine that people should try to cooperate more, instead of competing with each other. This eassy is intend to discuss the both view, however I personally believe that the first view has more benefits, which I will explain in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, competition has so many benefits and major benefit of it is, that people always stay aware and they do not forget about their goal in their life. For example, nowadays at work their are lots of people compete with each other for promotion and beacuse of that reason they always try to work harder and try to get pramotion and as a result they will defenatlly get promation and this situation is same in schools and life that people and children always battle with each other to get something.
On the other hand, many of them argue that cooperate more with eachother instead of compete with others, reason is sometimes people compete with other and they did not get result which they want, so as a consequences people feel depreesed and sometimes they will quit to try because they think that, although we work hard lastly, someone will beat us and get what we want with less try then us.Instead of that if individuals cooperate with each other then this case will not happen because they understand and acknowladge their personal relation and goals.
From my perspective, the former view is favourable for people because they have their aim and because of that when they feel tried but they thought about competiton and get motive from their aim, and always try harder to achieve their aim.
To sum up, people behave well when they are in pressure.Competiton is the biggest stage where people do good and overcome from their problems to acheive something, however, some time people feel depressed and pressure but these problems are easily solveable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both competition and cooperation and state a clear preference for competition in the introduction and conclusion. The examples about competing for promotion and the discouragement people may feel when they lose are relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the benefits of cooperation are described mainly as avoiding disappointment and recognising relationships, while the advantages of competition are asserted rather than explained in depth. The claim that people will “defenatlly get promation” through working harder is also too absolute and is not supported. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how cooperation can help people achieve shared goals, and qualify and support your claims with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up.” However, connections within sentences are sometimes awkward or mechanical, and some references are unclear. For example, “this case will not happen” does not specify exactly which outcome cooperation prevents, while the long promotion example combines several points without clear separation. The opinion paragraph also repeats the idea of having an aim rather than extending the argument. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and organise examples into shorter, more focused sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “promotion,” “goals,” and “achieve,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. There are also attempts at more expressive wording, such as “battle with each other.” However, the range is limited and several words are repeated, particularly “aim,” “people,” and “try.” Frequent spelling errors, including “benefical,” “eassy,” “pramotion,” and “depreesed,” make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “get motive from their aim” and “overcome from their problems.” Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will make your meaning more precise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast between the two views and clauses introduced by “because” and “although.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation can make the reader pause. For instance, “This eassy is intend to discuss the both view” has problems with the verb form and article, while “people compete with each other” shifts awkwardly between present and past forms in its surrounding sentence. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb.
