Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that the competition at work place, school and daily life are most benifical while some people argue that the cooperate in the work is imporatant. this essay will discuss the both views and explain why the balance between competition and cooperation is the best approch.
On other hand the competition is the motivate the people and decide the goal indvidual. For example in the school students compitat the their classmates for good grades. also in workplace employes give a more productives ideas devlope for indevidual. in the competition increass the personal qualities, confidance and deal with failure. so healthy competition can be powerful way to encourage the personal growth.
On other hand cooperation is also important equally. it can be a goal achive with the do a work together. In workplace employes have a many various skill and ideas can achive a better resulats. Teamwork become a frendly with each other. In contrast some times lead to stress and load pepole become a unwiling to help the other person. For example students unwilling to help their classmates. This is negative effects both their relationship.
In my opinion the competition and cooperative have a own benifites but i believe that the cooperative is most important in long term. healthy comprtition can encourage the improve them self but it should not come at the team work.
In conclusion, the competition is the become a higher standered and improve the goal individual. and Cooperation is helps the become a relationship better.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both competition and cooperation and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that competition motivates individuals and cooperation improves results, these points are not fully extended with clear, logical reasoning. The examples provided, such as students competing for grades, are relevant but brief. To improve, aim to expand on your arguments by explaining the 'why' and 'how' behind your claims. Your position is clear, but the overall depth of analysis is somewhat superficial, which is characteristic of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'On other hand' is used twice to introduce contrasting points, but it is grammatically incorrect and repetitive. Additionally, the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed due to missing articles and awkward phrasing. While the essay is coherent enough to be understood, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive structure of the paragraphs limit the score. Improving the variety of transition signals would significantly enhance the logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are frequent errors in word formation and collocation, such as 'most benifical' instead of 'most beneficial', 'cooperate in the work' instead of 'cooperation in the workplace', and 'goal achive' instead of 'achieving goals'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the text feel repetitive or unnatural. To improve, focus on learning the correct word forms (e.g., nouns vs. verbs) and common collocations used in academic writing. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it is quite basic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('competition... are', 'employes give a more productives ideas'), missing articles ('in the school', 'in workplace'), and incorrect word order. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation impede the fluency of the writing. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and reduce the frequency of basic errors. Proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be a great first step.
