Student answer (Band 6.5)

Few people believe that competition is mandatory in every sectors like at work, at school and in regular daily basis. Other hand of the people trust themselves to cooperate more, than comparing with others. In my opinion, i agree with competition with other people because it is a good task to acheive lot of things. But i also trust that other side of the people also.

Regarding to competition between the people, it is good way to acheive lot of things in terms education, at work and daily life. Because, the people done the solution in life or studies accurately. But here the problem with time management and speed approch to solution these are essential requirements in any industry. To acheive these things, they need to compare with others then they developed there approch efficiently. Therefore, the competition with others can make the people fast and saves lot of time.

On the other hand, those who argue to avoid the comparison is also plays key role. Because, many peoples are forcing to comparison with other which it leads to decrease their confident levels and they see them low standards. By leaving them alone, they learned form there mistakes and get back to competition with others. For instance, if they force to comparision the conflits must and should apply to their performances.

In conclusion, while comparing with others in competition is good way to improve themselves and also forcing them to others which effects them and reduces the performances. So, they need to balance wwhen ever it required the comparision and when to not. Ultimately, both leads to success their heights and improve themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the benefits of competition and the value of cooperation. A clear position is established in the introduction, though the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding competition (efficiency and speed) and cooperation (confidence and learning from mistakes) are relevant but lack depth and specific, illustrative examples. The conclusion attempts to synthesize the views, but the expression is slightly unclear. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and concrete examples to fully develop your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Regarding to', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Other hand of the people' or 'Regarding to'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and grammatical errors. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help the ideas connect more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of words like 'competition', 'comparison', and 'people'. Some word choices are imprecise or non-standard, such as 'mandatory in every sectors' instead of 'in every sector' or 'speed approch' instead of 'speedy approach'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of word-choice errors limit the score. Using a wider variety of synonyms and collocations would significantly improve your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many peoples are forcing'), incorrect preposition usage, and article errors ('the competition with others'). Some sentences are difficult to parse due to these errors, such as 'if they force to comparision the conflits must and should apply to their performances'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall clarity of the writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors will help.
