Student answer (Band 5.5)
I partly agree that it is good things people takes competition while doing work in their daily work either that is work at school or in office. Nowadays people try to achieve their dreams by doing hard work not for study purpose in others sectors. Mostly people try to do their best in coming days because today world is full of tournament in their life they most have to try their best. In school sectors teachers mostly play crucial role as to motivate students and make sure them as a best one in their coming days not to face any kinds of problems in their life while taking part in any sectors like medical, business, engineering and so on. As a example most of the people in business sectors face huge problems due to lake of knowledge and skills. but in coming days.
on the other hand, there is a strong case to be made for cooperative. modern societal and professional challenges are highly complex and rarely solvable by a single person. For example breakthrough scientific advancements, such as vaccine developments.
In conclusion, while competition can successfully spark individual ambition and drive short term results. I believe that cooperation is the foundational corner stone of sustaniable progess.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both sides of the argument, the discussion is underdeveloped and lacks sufficient supporting evidence. For instance, the paragraph on competition is vague, mentioning 'medical, business, engineering' without explaining how competition specifically functions in these fields. The conclusion is abrupt, and the overall position is not fully explored or sustained throughout the essay. To improve, you must expand your arguments with concrete examples and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is disjointed, and the final paragraph is very brief. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'on the other hand' and 'in conclusion', they are not sufficient to create a smooth flow of ideas. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of depth makes the overall structure feel fragmented. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to your main argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'tournament' instead of 'competition' or 'competitive environment', and 'lake of knowledge' instead of 'lack of knowledge'. The phrasing is often unnatural, which hinders the clarity of your points. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations. For example, instead of 'good things', use 'beneficial' or 'advantageous'. Expanding your range of vocabulary will help you express your ideas more effectively and professionally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people takes competition'), sentence fragments (e.g., 'but in coming days'), and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'cooperative' used as a noun). The range of sentence structures is limited, and the punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb. Reviewing the use of articles and prepositions will also help reduce the frequency of errors and improve the overall accuracy of your writing.
