Student answer (Band 5.0)
Now a day , many people believe that the competition at office , schools is good but some argue it's better to Cooperate with each other . I partially agree with both .
Firstly , I believe that it's well to compete each other in schools, office and colleges as if people challenge each other then they will try to work fast moreover, the same way in college and schools if student compete other pupils then they try to take more marks and want to go ahead in every field like sports or playground. In this way students get more marks although this way can be harmful for them. The prime example is when student do competition with each other they can hurt other students to want win .
On the other hand , many people argue it's better to cooperate with weak students in the class room as well as in work place . If people cooperate each other they live like a family in the school or office. For instance, if some one help the person in office or school then whenever he or she will needs help of him or her then he will also help in return which is good thing .
In conclusion I partially agree with both views as when we help other people then if we need his help he will help in return but when we compete other they will not Cooperate.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides an opinion, but the development is limited. The ideas regarding competition and cooperation are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the overall task achievement as the arguments are not fully extended. While the position is clear, the supporting examples are simplistic and lack the necessary detail to reach a higher band. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more specific examples and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more comprehensive discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'In this way', 'On the other hand', 'In conclusion'). The progression of ideas is clear, but the transitions between sentences could be smoother. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical flow is hindered by the brevity of the paragraphs. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You use words like 'good', 'help', and 'compete' frequently without exploring more precise synonyms. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'it's well to compete each other' instead of 'it is beneficial to compete with one another'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more academic vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of workplace and educational environments, while ensuring that your word choices are accurate and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('at office', 'in schools') and incorrect preposition usage ('compete each other'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. The frequency of these errors occasionally makes the text feel disjointed. To improve, focus on mastering the use of articles and prepositions, and practice combining simple sentences into more complex, error-free structures using subordinating conjunctions.
