Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern era , many individual believe that competition at work and school and daily life is a good thing while some other says that we must try to cooperate instead of competing against each other this essay will dwells on the statement and validate my opinion that both has their own uniqueness.
To begin with, nowadays people are competing each other for better jobs and academic achievement, many other individuals argue that we should fight at our daily problems and solve it to achieve more enhanced life, each and every employees are studying more to gets higher work such as lawyer, doctor. For instance ,in India students who completed degree course is also studying graduated courses to achieve their dream goals and to manage a good life.
On the other hand, numerous citizens argue that everyone should cooperate with our current jobs rather than competing each other, many people are suffering from their jobs that this jobs cant meet their daily needs but people with limited education has no other option to get more income to fulfill their dream. For example , in India numerous news reported that individuals are depending on ration shops and pension provided by government to sustain their life.
To conclude with, some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing but other s believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. In my view people with constrained education should coordinate with their current work or situation but people with sufficient education should compete for better job.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument regarding cooperation is somewhat unclear, as it focuses on poverty and government aid rather than the benefits of cooperation itself. The conclusion attempts to clarify your position, but the distinction between those with 'constrained' and 'sufficient' education feels like a new argument rather than a synthesis of the previous points. To improve, ensure each body paragraph focuses on a clear, distinct reason that directly supports the topic sentence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. For instance, the phrase 'For example' is used twice in a similar way, and the transition between sentences within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. There are also issues with referencing; in the second paragraph, 'it' is used to refer to 'daily problems', but the connection is weak. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score. You rely on basic terms like 'good thing', 'better jobs', and 'manage a good life'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'fight at our daily problems' (should be 'tackle' or 'address') and 'studying graduated courses' (should be 'postgraduate studies'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic vocabulary and precise collocations that demonstrate a wider range of expression beyond everyday language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many individual believe', 'each and every employees are'), incorrect verb forms ('studying graduated courses'), and punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors prevent the text from being considered highly accurate. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be a great next step for improvement.
