Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, though the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention the drawbacks of competition, the arguments regarding the benefits of cooperation are somewhat repetitive and lack specific, well-developed examples. The conclusion contradicts your earlier stance by suggesting a balance, which makes your position slightly unclear. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported point rather than repeating the same general ideas about 'pressure' and 'happiness'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', their usage is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'In additionally'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. Improving the use of transition words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'take a attempt suicide', 'working sector', and 'don't enough much money'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to express more complex ideas accurately. To achieve a higher score, focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and improve the sophistication of your expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'company owner creates'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they are not provide'), and misuse of articles and prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage.
