Student answer (Band 5.0)

This statement shows that some folks think that competition at work , at school and in daily life is a good thing . Others believe that we should cooprate more, rather then competing against erach others. In my point of view it is better to cooprate with others, Moreover the main reason is if we become cooprative it would be benefial for both for us or the person who is next to us.For example if a student is struggling with his studies. And if i had knowledge about that topic then i will guide him from that it would helpful for him and for me in the revision form. Furthermore I can revise my topic through it. However being helpful is the great charity, Along with the other reason is do not be self fish, It is not good to kick or ditch someone or take his place. For intense if one man is working in the office he is workng day and night and we got his crediet that i did this work it is in the form of jalousy or competiton that i comperte him through it.On the other side of the mirror that some people think we should cooprate with others rather then competing them . They think so good like it is best way to help them or guide them. Anyhow they think liker this just because thery do not want to do bad with others or not think worst for others. In nutshall i think it is better for all of us that do not compeate with others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is quite limited. While you state your opinion clearly, the supporting ideas are underdeveloped and rely on anecdotal examples that lack depth. The discussion of the 'competition' side is particularly weak, as it focuses more on the negative aspects (jealousy, ditching others) rather than exploring why some people might view competition as a positive force for innovation or personal growth. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more balanced, analytical arguments for both perspectives rather than just focusing on the moral implications of cooperation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear paragraph structure, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. The text is presented as one large block, and the transition between the two viewpoints is abrupt. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'However', they are often used incorrectly or in a way that does not logically connect the sentences. The referencing is also unclear at times, such as in the sentence 'they think liker this just because thery do not want to do bad with others'. Improved paragraphing and more precise use of linking words are essential for better flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors that occasionally impede readability (e.g., 'cooprate', 'benefial', 'jalousy', 'comperte', 'nutshall'). You rely on simple, informal language like 'folks', 'do not be self fish', and 'kick or ditch someone'. There is little attempt to use academic or topic-specific vocabulary related to the prompt. To improve, you should focus on learning correct spelling for common words and expanding your range to include more precise, formal vocabulary suitable for an academic essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. Issues include incorrect verb forms, missing articles, and faulty sentence construction (e.g., 'if i had knowledge... then i will guide him'). Punctuation is also problematic, with inconsistent spacing around commas and periods. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are often marred by errors in tense consistency and word order. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for punctuation and spelling errors.
