Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that competition motivates and cooperation improves team bonding, the supporting points are brief and lack depth. For instance, the explanation of why cooperation is 'more important' is repetitive, focusing mainly on stress reduction. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed examples or logical reasoning to support your claims. The position is clear throughout, but the overall development of the argument remains at a basic level, preventing a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'Similarly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and run-on sentences, such as 'cooperation is good improve team bonding and easily solve though projects'. The connection between ideas is occasionally mechanical, and the lack of varied linking words makes the progression feel a bit repetitive. Improving the use of referencing and transition words would help the ideas flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on common words like 'good', 'important', and 'better', which limits the sophistication of your writing. There are some instances of awkward collocation, such as 'motivate own' and 'share with collages' (likely meaning colleagues). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is narrow, and there is little attempt to use less common or academic lexical items. To improve, focus on using more precise synonyms and ensuring correct word forms in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow, such as missing articles ('at schools'), incorrect verb forms ('cooperation is good improve'), and fragmented sentences ('And also they have ranks in schools'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences lacking necessary commas or ending abruptly. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors suggests a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and sentence boundary punctuation will significantly improve your score.
