Student answer (Band 5.0)
some individuals think that competition in daily life is good but other said we should try to cooperate more instead of competing one another both these ideas are good by different point of view i discuss both these views and also give my opinion in this essay .
firstly i discuss first ideas in which they said competition is good thing competition is a good thing because many peoples students which have no concern with other when some one challenge they improve themselves and try to compete others and it have many other benefits like student gain high score to compete others the business man peoples make more efforts for their business to strive to win .
on the other side some person think that cooperate is more better then competing it has some benefits when the people wants to work together but nowadays this become a trend of our society that no one see other at a place where he stand they always in seek to compete others they can not share there ways to become a successful person because they want to compete others in some cases it is beneficial when there is no strive to win all people work together .
i agree with first point of view because in strive to win they do many efforts to compete others they complete their tasks in given time .
in conclusion i agree with first point of view because in competition man can do a lot of efforts or theses efforts become beneficial for them on other ideas this case is very rare when all society people cooperate because trend of our community is totally changed.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument for competition is repetitive, focusing primarily on 'striving to win' without exploring deeper psychological or societal impacts. The discussion on cooperation is similarly underdeveloped, relying on vague assertions about societal trends. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more specific, well-supported examples rather than repeating the same point in different ways. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical. Transitions like 'firstly' and 'on the other side' are used, but the internal flow within paragraphs is disjointed. There is a lack of logical progression between sentences; for instance, the transition from discussing students to businessmen is abrupt. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the subjects of your arguments. More varied linking words and better sentence-to-sentence connections are needed to improve the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which restricts the depth of your arguments. You frequently use words like 'good', 'things', and 'compete/competition' throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'cooperate is more better' (should be 'cooperation is better') and 'no one see other at a place where he stand'. To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of synonyms and more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay consists mostly of simple sentence structures with frequent grammatical errors. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many peoples students which have no concern'), punctuation (a lack of full stops and commas makes the text difficult to read), and tense consistency. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are often inaccurate, leading to confusion. For example, 'they always in seek to compete others' is grammatically incorrect. Improving your control over basic sentence construction and punctuation is essential for clarity and higher scoring.
