Student answer (Band 6.0)
When the topic of competition is discussed. There are split notions. Some individuals regard that competition is a best way to enhance productivity of work at companies, in schools for innovation and also on day to day life. Another opposite proponents state that work with cooperation may be right path for everyone instead of just being competitor to colleagues and learners. Prior to presenting my stance, both the views will be discussed for this statement. My preference will be discussed in ensuing paragraphs with reasons.
On the one hand, healthy competition is good for some extent because it will enhance productivity and efficiency of people. Also, it is best way to take out innovation and ability of person. For paradigm, competitive exam in education institution for selecting best students that is easy to find out students with unique skills. In addition, it does not increase productivity but also enhance critical thinking power which is helpful for completing all tasks.

For example, project work do with the help of team member this will more effective rather than sole because every person have some new skill which result in better outcome. this study has been conducted in "university of Boston". Moreover, sometimes excessive competition may create stress and burden on person which leads to disturb mental health and cause depression, anxiety and many more mental disorders.
By agglomerating aforementioned facts, I opine that healthy competition is beneficial but excessive it may lead to stress. Although, cooperation is essential for every work. so I believe that "cooperation and healthy competition both are equally important."

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both competition and cooperation before providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of innovation in schools and the stress caused by excessive competition. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding the 'university of Boston' is vague and lacks sufficient detail to fully support the argument. While the position is clear, the supporting points could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively synthesizes the two views, which is a positive feature of the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In addition'. However, some of these are used mechanically, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph. The use of referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences lack smooth logical links. Overall, the structure is coherent, but the management of cohesive devices needs more flexibility to achieve a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'agglomerating' and 'proponents', though 'agglomerating' is used somewhat inaccurately in this context. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'take out innovation' instead of 'foster innovation' or 'bring out innovation'. While the range is sufficient to communicate the message, it lacks the precision and natural collocation expected at higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('in day to day life'), subject-verb agreement ('project work do with the help'), and sentence fragments ('When the topic of competition is discussed. There are split notions.'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences ending abruptly or lacking necessary commas. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely impede communication. More attention to basic grammar and sentence construction is required.
