Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this essay we shoul eplain about the compititions of our daily life in schools or in office.

Therefore, it is many compititions that we take in our daily life in different places. Somes we can compitition with our school fellows in school. There including in sports activities or in exams marks. Some students think that they can achieve highest marks in exams. Some students want to defent their fellows in sports.

On the otherside, there are many compititions in working places. The one employee want to achieve highest progress with their competitive. They want promotion they should compitition.

It is a very good thing because their impact on peoples like students are very positivr or good. Because every student want to achieve heighest marks with their class fellows so they should compitition with all. Benefit of this action is that students do study very well and taking hard practice during exams.

In my opinion it is ery good thing that we take compitition in our daily lifes. But if a person should think these compition personally its impact is very bad on that person. You should keep these compitions on working place or in school thats it.

On the other thic cooperate is also a good thing but the disadvantage of cooperate is that people could not achieve high oportunities and they work same place tht they join 5 years ago. And student coul not be progress in studies.

In my opinion some places that you should take comitition and some places that you should take cooperate with other peoples. Every place in not good for compitition.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The essay addresses both competition and cooperation, but the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you state your opinion, the arguments lack depth and supporting examples. For instance, the claim that cooperation prevents progress is an over-generalisation that is not well-supported. To improve, you should focus on providing specific, logical reasons for your views rather than repeating the same points. The response is somewhat simplistic, and the discussion of the two views is not balanced or fully explored, which limits the score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Transitions between ideas are often mechanical or missing, such as the abrupt shift in the final paragraph. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate, for example, 'On the other thic' and 'Therefore, it is many compititions'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use the word 'compitition' (which is also misspelled) and 'good thing'. There is a lack of variety in your word choice, and you struggle with word forms, such as using 'compitition' as a verb instead of 'compete'. There are also several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'eplain', 'positivr', 'heighest', and 'oportunities'. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary and focus on using words accurately in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it is many compititions'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple and lack the complexity required for higher bands. For example, 'The one employee want to achieve highest progress with their competitive' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. You should focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing plurals or incorrect prepositions.
