Student answer (Band 5.0)
Competition play a vital role in every field of life. Competition increase self confidence, boost energy , encourages as well as mind satisfaction. I believe that compitators do their best to show their efforts for instance in a school students learn whole year then they took exams. If a competition is organised before exams the whole class must try to achieve good grades and hence also improves the performance of the school.
In this way competition plays a vital role even at work place , in a school or anyother place.
Some people believe that we should try to cooperate more rather than competiting against each other. I disagree this point as well we have a lot of choices to compete for example it must be asured that a high IQ level and a lower cannot face each other.
Let's ellaborate if i say that i purchase burj khalifa in dubai and i have not enough money to compete from a billionier so every one laugh on me.
On the other hand competition also helpful to increase our confidence if two childs fighting each other for egg and their mom said that you are good you always obey my orders then both children want to show good impression on mom. Next they try to be do good and avoid bad habits.
In conclusion competition should be held and one must participate because it keeps healthy. physically and mentally also it enhance personality as well as good for success in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development of ideas is inconsistent and often lacks clarity. While you mention competition in schools and workplaces, the examples provided—such as the 'Burj Khalifa' scenario or the 'children fighting over an egg'—are either irrelevant or poorly explained, failing to support your argument effectively. Your position is stated, but the reasoning is often disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your logic. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a clear, relevant point that directly answers the prompt, and provide more logical, real-world examples that illustrate your points clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often abrupt and confusing. You use some cohesive devices like 'for instance' and 'on the other hand,' but they are sometimes used incorrectly or do not bridge the ideas logically. The transition between the discussion of competition and the personal examples is particularly weak, which disrupts the overall progression of the argument. To achieve a higher score, focus on using transition words more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the one before it. Improving the structure of your topic sentences will also help guide the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'mind satisfaction' and 'compitators.' You rely on basic vocabulary, and there is a lack of variety in your word choice. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to the topic of competition and cooperation. Additionally, ensure you are using words in their correct context; for example, 'compitators' should be 'competitors,' and 'ellaborate' is misspelled. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you communicate your ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Competition play,' 'Competition increase'), missing articles, and incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'they took exams' instead of 'they take exams'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage. Proofreading your work for small errors like missing 's' on plurals or incorrect prepositions will significantly improve the clarity and accuracy of your writing.
