Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 81 words. Because the essay is incomplete, it fails to address all parts of the task. The introduction is present, but the body paragraphs are not developed, and the conclusion is missing. Consequently, the position is not fully developed or supported. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words, providing a balanced discussion of both views followed by a clear, supported personal opinion. Currently, the response is too brief to demonstrate the ability to develop an argument effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text is too short to demonstrate a coherent structure or effective paragraphing. While there is an attempt at an introduction, the essay stops abruptly after the first sentence of the first body paragraph. There is a lack of logical progression because the ideas are not developed. Cohesive devices like 'To embark on' are used, but they appear mechanical and are not supported by a full essay structure. To improve, focus on organizing your ideas into clear paragraphs with a logical flow from the introduction to the conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'very paramount' is redundant, as 'paramount' already implies 'very important'. The phrase 'these are plethora of reason' is grammatically incorrect and lacks the necessary articles. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure you are using collocations correctly, such as 'a plethora of reasons' instead of 'these are plethora of reason'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent errors in basic grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. For instance, 'In todays competitive world' lacks an apostrophe, and 'individual often compete' should be plural ('individuals'). The sentence 'this essay will discuss the both view' is awkward and grammatically incorrect. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the existing sentences contain errors that hinder clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles and punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
