Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argue. Some prople compete for their positive progress.Meanwhile, others argue that they do competition for their own satisfaction rather than positive approach. However, I believe that competition at work,at school and in daily life is a benefical thing.

On the one hand, The positive race at work is benifical for the growth of mind because if someone engaged in positive activities. He will make progress. As, Competition in different fields is helpful for growth and the sign of love between each other.

Thus, These type of competition is exceptional for mental growth in positive way.

While on the other hand, Some socialist believe that we should help eachother at different sectors than competition. As, It helps people to progress fast in working and academic sector as well as in daily life rather than competition. In 1920, A serve public held in Berlin,Germany. In this serve 60 percent people believed that ,If we cooperate in these sectors than competition we will make more progress in short period of time.

However, I believe that positive competitions in these sectors are vital than cooperate with each other because do more work than others in the name of competition. Moreover, some people reily on help of others thats the reason i should advice competition than cooperate.

To sumup, eventhough competition can affect negativiely on indiviual level but in my opinion it would be more effective for the progress of these different sectors. To be honest, It would be more progressive than cooperate with each other.Thats why, competition are more affective than cooperation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments are repetitive and lack sufficient supporting evidence or logical depth. For instance, the mention of a '1920 public survey in Berlin' is vague and does not effectively support the point about cooperation. The ideas are presented in a somewhat disjointed manner, and the reasoning for why competition is 'vital' remains underdeveloped, relying on assertions rather than clear explanation. To improve, you should focus on expanding your points with specific, logical examples and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, well-supported main idea.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is often mechanical and sometimes confusing. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'To sumup', they are often used incorrectly or with awkward punctuation (e.g., 'As, Competition...'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of smooth transitions. The sentences often feel like a list of separate thoughts rather than a cohesive argument. Improving your use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the readability of your work.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'positive race' instead of 'healthy competition' and 'serve public' instead of 'public survey'. You rely on basic vocabulary, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or an awareness of style. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary by learning collocations and using more precise terminology related to the topic of competition and cooperation. Proofreading for basic spelling and word-form errors is also essential.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with sentence structure, such as fragments ('It is often argue.'), subject-verb agreement ('competition are more affective'), and incorrect article usage. Punctuation is also problematic, with frequent missing spaces after commas and periods. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty or incorrectly punctuated. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and practicing the correct use of articles and verb tenses.
