Student answer (Band 5.0)
As some people believe that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing conversely to it others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other.
I believe that we should cooperate more rather than competing with each other in work, school and in daily life because it will cause a positive impact on each other and people learn how to love, help and compensate with each other. they learn empathy and accommodating. for example in school when students are in their learning age they must have to learn love, how to be a better person which will help them to build a better character in future, and in work people consider each others problem their own and help them which will make their bond resilient which will yield in company improvements.
In case of competition people start consider another people their opponent and don't treat them well which will than create a negative environment, and disturb people nervous system which will cause negative impact on people life. For example in daily life if people compete with each other it will develop jealousy factor in them and they look down on each other, which will make them arrogant and they want to make themselves better which will cost their peace.
In conclusion I will say that to cooperate with each other is better than competing with each other because basic etiquette are developed by helping each other

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. While you address both sides of the argument and provide a clear personal opinion, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding competition and cooperation are relevant but lack depth and specific, well-developed examples. For instance, the mention of 'company improvements' is vague. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to fully explore the prompt's complexities.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical flow is hindered by a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are often missing or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'which will'. Paragraphing is present but the internal organization of ideas within paragraphs is somewhat disjointed. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') to connect your ideas more fluidly and improve the overall progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on simple, repetitive language, such as 'good thing', 'better', and 'help'. There are also some awkward word choices, such as 'compensate with each other' and 'disturb people nervous system'. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary and collocations. Focus on learning synonyms for common words and practice using them in context to express your ideas more precisely and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include missing articles ('in work', 'in school'), incorrect verb forms ('people start consider'), and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often repetitive, relying heavily on 'which will' clauses. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Additionally, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, while ensuring they are grammatically accurate.
