Student answer (Band 6.0)
There always has been a debate whether there must be a professional competition in organizations and schools while others argue that there should be cooperation between each other.Following discussion will cover both point of views and give argument that there should be competition in schools and daily life is a good thing.
Competition is a psychological sensation which develops a feeling of performing better by enhancing the motivation level in an individual. For instance competition in educational aspects between students can lead them to actualize the real potential of their abilities to perform. However in a classroom competition is necessary to keep the educational environment efficient.
On the contrast, cooperation is believed to exist in such professional entities in order to avoid personal conflicts and grudges.According to this point of view cooperation can build a calm and peaceful environment in daily life. Also it can lead to good interactions and strong bonding between individuals. For example cooperation in a team of workers with diverse backgrounds may help them to achieve organizational goal rather than competing with each others. Similarly it can also impact society positively, people can have a sense of cooperation and helping each other when in need.
In my opinion competition and cooperation both must exist in societies, schools and organizations each within controlled limit. It seems to practically impossible but it is actually possible by raising awareness within the public of both context. For instance competition and cooperation both have their own pros and cons.On one side competition helps individuals to self actualize their abilities and also distinct the well performers but, it can also developed a sensation of hatred and conflicts and personal grudges. To neutralize this effect of competition in society schools and organizations cooperation must exist which can be done by making awareness and special trainee programs and workshops for the students employees. Therefore in a society to keep the environment peaceful both competition and cooperation should be within in a controlled limit.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both competition and cooperation before providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported, particularly the discussion on how competition can enhance motivation and how cooperation fosters a peaceful environment. However, the development of the 'own opinion' section could be more nuanced; while you suggest a balance, the explanation of how to achieve this through 'awareness' and 'trainee programs' is slightly generic. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more specific and fully explored to demonstrate a deeper level of critical thinking regarding the practical application of these concepts in different settings.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'However', and 'On the contrast' to link ideas. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or misused, such as 'On the contrast', which should be 'In contrast' or 'On the other hand'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints, which helps the reader follow your argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the relationship between sentences is always precise.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'psychological sensation', 'actualize', and 'diverse backgrounds'. There are some instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'distinct the well performers' (should be 'distinguish the high performers') and 'it seems to practically impossible' (should be 'it seems practically impossible'). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, some errors in collocation and word formation occur. To improve, focus on learning the specific contexts in which certain words are used and pay closer attention to word forms to ensure your writing sounds more natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('in a classroom', 'in a society'), subject-verb agreement issues ('competition... can also developed'), and punctuation errors (missing spaces after periods). These errors do not generally impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, proofread your work specifically for small grammatical slips like articles and verb tenses, and try to vary your sentence structure further by using more sophisticated subordinating conjunctions and relative clauses.
