Student answer (Band 5.5)
In both personal and professional life, some people think that competition at work, at school, and in daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than compete against each other. In my opinion, cooperating with others is the best thing to do because it has a beneficial effect on our lives.
Cooperating with others in school or in daily life is the shortest way to improve different aspects such as education, personality, relationships, and sinicial situation, of our lives. By helping each other in various circumstances and challenging problems, it leads to achieving relaxation and happiness in our mental health. For example, working together without any negative competition between students or workers generates strong relationships with their family and friends. As a result, the dangourse deseases becomes in the lowest level in peoplle h
On the other hand, some people think that competition at work, at school, and in daily life is a good thing. So, when learners in school compete with others, it encourages them to enhance their academic results. In addition, competing with people can develop our personality, and that leads to discovering our weaknesses. For instance, competition between employees in a company or workplace improves the job performance of workers.
In conclusion, assisting and helping each other is the most important thing to do in our lives. Avoiding competition and bad insults contributes to a good work-life balance, and of course, this is a necessary thing in every human's life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding cooperation is supported by vague claims about 'mental health' and 'happiness' without concrete examples. The paragraph on competition is also brief and lacks depth. The final sentence of the second paragraph is incomplete ('peoplle h'), which represents a significant omission in the development of that point. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, well-reasoned examples and ensure all sentences are completed to fully support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'In addition', 'For example', 'On the other hand'). Furthermore, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the abrupt ending of the second paragraph disrupts the flow of the argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph is fully developed would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors that hinder readability, such as 'sinicial' (financial), 'dangourse' (dangerous), 'deseases' (diseases), and 'peoplle'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms. While you attempt to use some topic-specific language, the frequent spelling mistakes and the lack of precision in word choice (e.g., 'bad insults') suggest a need for more careful proofreading and a wider range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('the dangourse deseases becomes') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but the incomplete sentence at the end of the second paragraph is a major error that affects the grammatical integrity of the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency before attempting more complex structures.
