Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is quite limited. The essay relies on a repetitive structure ('Group A' and 'Group B') rather than exploring the nuances of competition versus cooperation in depth. The arguments provided are somewhat superficial, and the essay lacks specific, concrete examples to support the claims. While the task is addressed, the lack of depth and the reliance on a very basic framework prevent it from reaching a higher band score. To improve, you should expand on your points with real-world examples and more sophisticated reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks proper paragraphing, consisting of only one long block of text. This makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of ideas. While there are some attempts at cohesive devices (e.g., 'On the other hand', 'Because'), they are often used incorrectly or in a mechanical way. The flow is hindered by the lack of clear topic sentences and logical transitions between the introduction, the body, and the conclusion. Improving your paragraph structure and using a wider variety of linking words more naturally would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'good thing' and 'help persons to grow' are used multiple times, and there is a lack of academic or topic-specific vocabulary. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'make stress on a persons mind' instead of 'cause stress' or 'place pressure on'. The range of vocabulary is limited, and the essay does not demonstrate the ability to use less common lexical items effectively. To improve, focus on learning synonyms and collocations related to the topic of workplace and educational dynamics.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are significant issues with punctuation, particularly the overuse of commas and the lack of full stops, which results in run-on sentences. Subject-verb agreement is inconsistent (e.g., 'Other believes', 'every member of the team try'). Additionally, there is a lack of complex sentence structures; most sentences are simple or poorly connected. The frequent errors in basic grammar, such as article usage ('a persons mind') and capitalization, indicate a need for a stronger focus on fundamental grammatical accuracy.
