Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of entrance exams for competition and the benefits of teamwork in a corporate setting. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of why competition makes one a 'good competent' is repetitive and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your examples with more specific analysis rather than just stating that something is 'good' or 'necessary'. The position is consistent throughout, but the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly explored to fully meet the requirements of a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For instance, the sentence 'Once they started Competing against each other, they set their boundaries and doesnot show any interest in group activities' lacks smooth logical progression. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, and the use of cohesive devices feels a bit repetitive. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'necessary' repeatedly. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'good competent' (which is not standard English) and 'working platforms' instead of 'workplaces'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary limits the score. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and idiomatic collocations related to the topic of professional and academic environments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it make individual', 'individual starts', 'doesnot show'), article usage ('in every countries'), and awkward phrasing ('there are numerous reason behind this viewpoint who believe'). While the meaning is usually understandable, these persistent errors prevent the writing from being considered accurate. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and pluralization to improve your control over simple and complex sentence forms.
