Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument for competition is somewhat repetitive, focusing primarily on 'growth' and 'salary' without exploring the psychological or societal impacts in depth. The arguments for cooperation are also underdeveloped, relying on vague statements like 'make easy to convey many things'. To improve, you should provide more specific, concrete examples to support your points rather than general assertions. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack the depth required for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'In additionally' (used twice) and 'Not only this but also' are used repetitively and sometimes incorrectly. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the logical progression within paragraphs is hindered by awkward phrasing. For instance, the jump from discussing multinational companies to the conclusion is quite sudden. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'uncourageous' (likely meaning 'less effective' or 'discouraging'), 'tech' (used instead of 'teach'), and 'week' (used instead of 'weak'). These errors occasionally make it difficult for the reader to grasp the intended meaning. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'multinational company' and 'efficiency', the overall control is inconsistent. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that the words you choose are appropriate for the formal context of an academic essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Some individual think', 'competition... are good'), incorrect verb forms ('they tech them'), and missing articles. Sentence structures are generally simple, and attempts at complex sentences often result in errors that impede clarity, such as 'people whom, are week in some educational portion'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that you are using the correct tense and word form. Reducing the number of errors is essential for a higher score.
