Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this current generation competing to each other at work, school and in daily life becomes common. Whereas according to other and my perspective cooperating is the best thing one can do rather than being in a race and hoping to win.
On the one hand, competition comes up with many hurdles and responsibilities to handle all alone. People might face this as a competition, but behind this all thinking they are stressing about their work and facing difficulties to work life balance at work, if we talk about school and daily life competing makes you more confident and helps you build up yourself in a better version on your own, where you can be independent rather than relying on anyone to cooperate with you. Which makes you better person in future. I have a example where my close friend who was too confident in his self from school to till now at work, he believes that it's good to be on own, also he describes once that he faced loneliness, difficulties but all this at end comes with solid standard.
On the other hand, like other I do hardly agree on cooperating which other is best to do in your whole life from school to work, as well as in your daily life. Life becomes very much easier to live when you have got people around you to have your back and look after you when there's a need. The instance of my work colleague, where I see him being friendly with everyone makes him more well noble person, just like the gentlemen and when the hard time comes people do support him with all of their efforts.
In the end I will say that being in a race where when we compete people around, subsequently it will create a toxic environment and makes us feel vulnerable. So, cooperating with each other is a good thing we can do, it helps us to grow in future easily and life will be more comfortable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the benefits of cooperation are explained reasonably well, the discussion on competition is muddled. For instance, the argument that competition makes one 'independent' is a relevant point, but the explanation is hindered by awkward phrasing and a lack of clear logical progression. The example provided about the friend is a bit vague and does not fully illustrate the point being made. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea supported by clear, logical reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used correctly, but internal transitions within paragraphs are weak. For example, the sentence 'Which makes you better person in future' is a sentence fragment that disrupts the flow. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'like other I do hardly agree on cooperating which other is best to do'. Improving the variety and precision of linking words will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations, such as 'competing to each other' (competing with each other), 'comes up with many hurdles' (presents many challenges), and 'well noble person' (a noble person). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of these errors limit the score. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more academic synonyms for basic words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'competing... becomes common'), missing articles ('a example'), and incorrect preposition usage. Some sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, such as 'I have a example where my close friend who was too confident in his self from school to till now at work, he believes that it's good to be on own'. While the errors do not completely obscure the meaning, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score.
