Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the highly globalised era, competiton has becam an integral part of work place. The debate divided by people whether compatative enviornment has a possive impact on people's life or instead of compating with others, they bahave cooperately becuse it improves the inner skill. I am accoradance in with the former views. My arguments shall be articulated by the narrative in the forthcoming paragraphs.

To commence with the former view, the prime reason is that it improves to motivation. To explain it, compatition encourage people to work har and polish thair skills. For example, students may study more when they compete with others to acqure a high rank. In addition, it boost the organization performance. To elaborate it, employees more productive when environment is compatative and it encourage to improve their production and provide better service.

However, ohters deem cooperation is advantagious. The prominet is that it helsp to achive common ambition. In other words, people can combine their knowledge and improve the problem solve and critical thinking ability, which help to solve issues more effectively. For intance, a team complete the large project faster and accurately when they work together. Another is that, it leads to less stress and metal health problem. These is because cpmpatiton leads to the strees and conflits, which makes a detrimental effect on relationshipl and team work. However, team work build the trust and supportive contects.

In my perspective, cpmatition is requre in work place becuse it motivate to people work perfectly, which makes more productive and they engaging in the work.

To sum up, although cpmpatition is usefull because it motivates people but excessive cpmpation leads to stress and unhealthy relationship, cooperations is more suitable becuase it shares the knowledge and responsibility.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both competition and cooperation and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons for both sides, the supporting examples—such as 'students may study more' or 'a team complete the large project faster'—are quite brief and lack depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on these points with more detailed explanations or specific real-world examples. Additionally, your conclusion contradicts your body paragraph slightly, as you argue for competition in the body but then suggest cooperation is 'more suitable' in the final summary, which weakens the clarity of your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'In addition', and 'However' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'The prominet is that...' which is grammatically incomplete. Furthermore, the transition between the body paragraphs and the conclusion is a bit abrupt. The logical progression is generally clear, but the internal cohesion within sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors, making the flow feel slightly disjointed at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary range is adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors throughout the text (e.g., 'competi-ton', 'becam', 'compatative', 'enviornment', 'possive', 'bahave', 'cooperately', 'cpmpatiton'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'globalised era', 'integral part', and 'detrimental effect', the persistent spelling issues and occasional word-choice inaccuracies (e.g., 'supportive contects') limit your score. To improve, focus on proofreading your work to correct basic spelling mistakes and ensure that words are used in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb forms ('competition has becam'), subject-verb agreement ('employees more productive'), and article usage. Some sentences are grammatically fragmented or awkward, such as 'The debate divided by people whether compatative enviornment has a possive impact'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of grammatical slips and punctuation errors prevents the text from reaching a higher level of control. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and checking for missing auxiliary verbs.
