Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this contemporary era, the competition has increased significantly in recent years. Nowadays, everyone has their competitiors in their work or study. however, Some individuals believe that competition at school or work is good thing. whereas, others argue that we ought to cooperate more instead of competing with each other. this essay will not only elaborate the both views but also my opinion will be highlighted in the conclusion.
Commmencing with the most prominent reason, why the competition is positive. initially, if the competition will be there, then people engage in it will try to perform better than others. as in case of students, if generally have competitors then they will do moe practice and develop their skills so that they can easily compete with anyone.moreover it will also increase their knowldege and grasping power to understand concepts easily. while at the workplace, the workers will increase their creativity as compared to other worker, so that they can easily compete with each other, as the workers were only doing work in slow pace, if they do not have any competitor, if have they frequently do work at fast pace and recieve incentives or bonus. further, the competitors are crucial as it increase the productivity and working speed of the company. whereas, n scxhool , the students generally use their full mind and pay attention to their study so that the lead the position and overcome their competitor.
on the other hand, some thinks that cooperation is more beneficial rather then competing. firstly, sometime the competition in case of students and work can leads end up relation with their friends and collegues due to misunderstanding. if there woul be cooperation at everywhere, then will do work together and assits if someone stuck in problem. when they work in cooperative manner, they have myriad of ideas to share that how complete work and study in creative manner.
in conclusion, according to my point of view. the cooperation is necessary not competitions if there willl coopertaion they will work together and chances of error would be minimize and result woul be out standing.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the task by discussing the views on competition and cooperation, and the writer provides their own opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on why competition is positive relies heavily on general statements about students practicing more and workers increasing their speed, but these ideas lack extended, concrete examples. Furthermore, the position is stated at the beginning and end, but the reasoning throughout the body paragraphs can be difficult to follow due to poor expression. It meets the basic requirements of discussing both views and giving an opinion, corresponding to a Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at paragraphing. However, the overall progression is hampered by severe punctuation and capitalization errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters ('however,', 'this essay...', 'on the other hand,'). Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as 'Commmencing with the most prominent reason' and 'whereas'. Paragraphing is also erratic, with body paragraphs running together ideas without clear thematic boundaries. Referencing is sometimes unclear, which disrupts the logical flow. These issues place the response firmly at a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors ('competitiors', 'moe', 'knowldege', 'recieve', 'scxhool', 'collegues', 'woul', 'minimize'). There are also awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'grasping power to understand concepts easily' and 'leads end up relation with their friends'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary like 'contemporary era' and 'incentives', inaccuracies in spelling and word formation frequently strain the reader's understanding. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, aligning with a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are pervasive punctuation and capitalization errors throughout the entire text, alongside persistent grammatical mistakes such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the workers were only doing work in slow pace, if they do not have any competitor, if have they frequently do work...') and awkward clause structures ('if there woul be cooperation at everywhere, then will do work together'). Frequent errors cause significant difficulty for the reader and obscure the intended meaning, corresponding to a Band 4.5.
