Student answer (Band 4.5)

whether competition or cooperation give good impect at work daily life ,and these aspects are like two side of a coin, every aspect play different different roals according to the context.

competition creat motivation and have ability to motive excellence. in work palce competition inhance the work and skill also .for instance competition bitween employe can increase the ratio of task complition because its influance to others. similarly its lead to good productivity and creativity in the school students ; however copetition in every moment lead to th negative outcomes, such as stress, pressure for winning ,whivh may harm to person emotionally.

some people prioritize cooperation and emphasize the power of unity, there are somany things where cooperation play a vital role in goal achivment as well as improve the work enviroment.

for example in clinical side every individual should cooperative because its lead to batter outcome and quality of care non cooperative mediacl team can cause critical condition for patient.cooperation is the root aspect for secure the posetive result in education, group projects, in big organigetion; however unstructured cooperation cause hazy path of sucees .poor goal achivement as a consequence of unequal contribution of people in cooperration.

in my view the key is balancing competition and cooperation, as their value varies by context. if i mold my view in nonselective way both competition and cooperation has sigificant number of pros and cons inspite of it choice of these aspect are dependent on context.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address both views regarding competition and cooperation and provides a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the ideas remain somewhat under-developed due to insufficient elaboration and an overly brief format. While examples are provided for both competition (such as workplace efficiency and school productivity) and cooperation (such as clinical medical teams and group projects), the arguments lack depth and fail to fully explore the nuances of the prompt. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the response contains only 242 words, falling short of the mandatory 250-word minimum. Consequently, a penalty must be applied here for under-length, limiting the overall score for this criterion to Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into four distinct paragraphs, attempting an introduction, two body paragraphs discussing each view, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently hindered by a lack of clear cohesive devices and poor mechanical formatting, particularly with punctuation and sentence boundaries (for example, starting sentences with lowercase letters and missing spaces after commas). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and transitions between ideas feel abrupt. While paragraphing is used structurally to separate the opposing viewpoints, the cohesion within and between sentences is inadequate, placing this performance firmly in Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The student attempts to use some less common vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'productivity', 'creativity', 'unstructured cooperation', and 'unequal contribution'. However, the lexical range is limited and significantly undermined by frequent spelling errors throughout the text, including words like 'impect', 'roals', 'palce', 'inhance', 'bitween', 'employe', 'complition', 'influance', 'copetition', 'whivh', 'somany', 'achivment', 'clincal', 'batter', 'mediacl', 'posetive', 'organigetion', 'sucees', 'copperration', 'sigificant', and 'inspite'. These spelling and word-choice errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and restrict the lexical score to Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical range is severely restricted by a lack of control over basic sentence structure, capitalization, and punctuation. The writing contains numerous non-sentences, run-on structures, and missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'whether competition or cooperation give good impect...', 'competition creat motivation...'). Subject-verb agreement errors are frequent (e.g., 'competition give', 'competition creat', 'every individual should cooperative'), and punctuation is consistently faulty. Although there are some attempts at complex forms using subordinate clauses, the frequency of basic grammatical errors and poor punctuation severely impedes communication, warranting a Band 4.0.
