Student answer (Band 5.0)
some people taught that comparison and compitition at professionalism, schools or daily life is good thing.and others believed that we try to not compete to others in future.
some individuals are compared their self to others if there is studies ,or a job and work and also if there is a daily life thing. the main reason of this may be companies and educational sectors are not treating individuals equals and here is the jealosy and comparison are built . people often want to treated equal or highr tha others. it is a human nature.for example if two persons jon at same workplace with same education nut one person have high position so the other person naturally jealous and compare himself to his.
on the other hand some people also think that, comparison and competition is a waste of energy and time , so they are not compare their selfs to other with higher positions and bacjgrounds. i genuinly support this view of thinking.this way of thinking creat posotivity in personality and decrease the race of competition.we should tell our students and younger generation from day 1 to avoid this type of behaviors to others. and this should be very easy for many people life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing competition and cooperation, and the writer provides a clear personal opinion. However, the task is under-length, containing only 204 words compared to the minimum requirement of 250 words. This results in under-developed ideas, particularly in the second body paragraph where the arguments supporting cooperation are stated simply without deep elaboration or extended supporting examples. While the writer attempts to explain why jealousy occurs and gives a brief example of people joining a workplace, the overall progression is limited by the brevity of the text. Consequently, the task response is constrained, fitting a Band 5.0 descriptor profile.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction and two body paragraphs, showing some basic organisation. However, paragraphing is underdeveloped, and there is no clear concluding paragraph. Cohesive devices are minimal, mechanical, or inaccurate, with abrupt transitions between ideas. For instance, sentences are often strung together with basic punctuation errors rather than appropriate conjunctions or discourse markers, as seen in phrases like "some individuals are compared their self to others if there is studies ,or a job and work". Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall progression lacks logical flow, which aligns well with a Band 5.0 rating for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by inaccurate word choices and word formation errors, such as "compitition", "professionalism" used to mean professions, and "jealosy". The writer attempts less common lexical items, but they are generally used inaccurately or with incorrect collocations, such as "creat posotivity in personality and decrease the race of competition". Spelling errors are frequent (e.g., "taught" instead of "thought", "backgrounds" used inappropriately, "genuinly"). The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for communication, which places it at Band 4.5, rounded to Band 5.0 based on general performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The text contains a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex sentences. There are frequent, noticeable errors in grammar, punctuation, and tense control. Examples include "some people taught that comparison and compitition at professionalism... is good thing" and "people often want to treated equal or highr tha others". Articles and prepositions are frequently missing or misused. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures, corresponding to a Band 4.0 descriptor.
