Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the view that competition is beneficial and the view that cooperation is important, and the writer provides their own opinion at the beginning ('I agree withe statement...'). However, the ideas are relatively undeveloped and lack depth. For instance, the arguments regarding political parties, technology, and education are stated simply without being fully explored or supported with concrete, well-elaborated examples. The conclusion attempts to balance both views ('The balance society is one who contain both cooperation and competition'), which slightly contradicts the initial stance, creating minor inconsistency in the position. Overall, the task is addressed, but the development of ideas aligns more closely with the Band 5 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is divided into paragraphs, starting with an introduction and moving into body paragraphs for competition and cooperation respectively. However, the overall progression is somewhat disjointed. Transitions between sentences and paragraphs are frequently missing or awkward, such as starting the second body paragraph abruptly with 'on the other hand, people also cooperate with others.' Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or mechanically applied. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and punctuation errors (such as missing spaces after commas and periods) disrupt the natural flow of reading, placing the response firmly at Band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on words like 'competition', 'cooperation', and 'technology'. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'withe' instead of 'with', 'prepration' instead of 'preparation', 'prominant' instead of 'prominent', 'everywhare' instead of 'everywhere', 'continous' instead of 'continuous', 'technhnology' instead of 'technology', 'reduce' instead of 'reduces', 'assesment' instead of 'assessment', 'creats' instead of 'creates', and 'parally' instead of 'parallel'. These limitations and lexical inaccuracies occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a Band 4 to 5 level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mainly of simple sentences and basic complex forms. There are frequent, noticeable grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('competition is good thing', 'in todays world', 'The balance society'), incorrect prepositions ('cooperation to others'), subject-verb agreement issues ('Our world admire', 'every country... is going on', 'some country need'), and tense inconsistencies. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader, which corresponds to the Band 4 descriptors.
