Student answer (Band 4.0)

Discussion about challenges in work have long been ongoing among people. It is very interesting topic to discuss in our society as it has many pros and cons. From my perspective ways mostly individuals competition in daily work otherwise they cooperate with things.

Firstly peoples thing that cooperate with works is good thing compare to the give challenges in every field. But mostly peoples like competition in daily activity for example some students in the school are very motivation in his works like homework and classwork his thoughts gives tough challenge to other students in own class. Who peoples they compromise his work and they didn,t doing false activities rather than competition in daily life work.

For examples after hardmonths work nothing is more invigorating that an excuration in the natural sights and sounds. When after finished his own week and months work they coming out his friends and family members eating out and change his taste and spent time together they feel relaxed and calm of heart additionally peace of mind it is the best benefit to not doing competition at work in every field.

When i was reside in the setlite down area its the first rate area of the city gujranwala . There are many emporiums building and colleges so roads are on packed here living on this type down peoples face tough challenges in work field. Individuals doing his own works.

In constrate the advantages of working in one field its very benefical for us rather than to giving competition in every work like school etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to address both views regarding competition and cooperation, along with a personal perspective, fulfilling the prompt's structural demands. However, the development of ideas is severely hindered by frequent lapses in clarity and relevance. For instance, the discussion in the third paragraph shifts abruptly to an excursion in nature, and the fourth paragraph describes living in a specific area of Gujranwala, which fails to develop the core arguments of the prompt logically. While a position is vaguely discernible, the ideas remain limited, under-developed, and disjointed. This aligns best with the Band 4 descriptors, where the response addresses the task only minimally or tangentially due to lack of coherent development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The organization of the text is weak, making it difficult to follow the progression of thought. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion of each paragraph is compromised by abrupt topic shifts and confusing referencing (e.g., 'Who peoples they compromise his work'). Transitional phrases are either misused or absent, such as 'In constrate', which impedes the logical flow between ideas. There is a lack of overall progression throughout the essay. Because information and ideas are not arranged coherently and cohesive devices are inadequate and inaccurate, the response corresponds closely to Band 4.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and frequently inaccurate. The student relies heavily on simple words and produces awkward collocations and word forms, such as 'peoples thing', 'very motivation', and 'tough challenges in work field'. Spelling errors and incorrect word choices (e.g., 'excuration', 'setlite down area', 'empariums') are prevalent and strain the reader's ability to understand the intended meaning. Because the lexical range is very limited and errors frequently obscure the message, this falls squarely within the Band 4 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. The text contains a very limited range of structures, and almost every sentence features severe errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, word order, and punctuation (e.g., 'Discussion about challenges in work have long been ongoing', 'When i was reside in the setlite down area its the first rate area', and 'they didn,t doing false activities'). Complex structures are rarely attempted and, when used, are heavily flawed. Because errors are frequent, pervasive, and often distort meaning, a Band 4 score is appropriate.
