Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few individuals believe that competition at work, at eduactional institutes and in routine life is a better thing. But other argues that we should attempt to cooperate more, meanwhile competing each other. This essay will not elaborate on my viewpoint but also provide relevant example to support it.
To commerence with, one of the most significant reason is that comparison with other citizens. This can be attributed to the fact that mosty peolpe compare itself with other because they are doing the same thing which do other people. In this reason, they disturbed form their own goal. Moreover, By comparision with their rival as a outcome they lose their focus. Furthermore, they are not able to achieve the distination, which one they have already thought about them.
On the other hand, another crucial factor is that individuals believe that focus on other people is not much safe meanwhile, if they are improving their ability nor proving the people is much better. Moreover, people believe that we should attempt to Collaborate more as well as possible and do not compare youself with other. For instance: if we do assit the people and do not compare yourself with other people, then we definately succeed in your life.
From my perspective, we should focus on their own because in the way, you can face plenty of hurrdles in your life. If you face challenges in routine then you will become more confident.
In conclusion, althrough some may argue that we should compare youself with other. However, other argue that we should not compare yourself with other. But I strongly believe that we should focus on yourself rather than other.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing competition and cooperation, though the development of ideas is limited and at times unclear. The introduction contains a contradictory statement ('This essay will not elaborate on my viewpoint'), which affects the clarity of the position. While the body paragraphs attempt to explore the downsides of comparison and the benefits of collaboration, the arguments are repetitive and lack fully articulated examples. The student attempts to present an opinion, but due to underdeveloped reasoning and frequent shifts in focus, the overall task response aligns with a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak cohesive devices. Transitions such as 'To commerence with' and 'In this reason' are awkward and inaccurate. Referencing is frequently unclear, particularly with pronouns ('they', 'them', 'their'), which creates confusion regarding who is being referred to in the arguments. Although there is a discernible overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, the mechanical use of cohesion and lack of smooth progression place this response at a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple words like 'people', 'compare', and 'life'. There are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'eduactional', 'commerence', 'mosty', 'peolpe', 'distination', and 'hurrdles'. Less common lexical items are attempted, but they are often used incorrectly or combined with unnatural collocations, such as 'routine life is a better thing' and 'do not compare youself'. These errors occasionally impede communication, reflecting a Band 5.0 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but grammatical accuracy is very low. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'other argues', 'peolpe compare itself', 'focus on other people is not much safe', and 'althrough some may argue'. Additionally, punctuation and sentence boundaries are poorly managed, leading to run-on thoughts and fragmented ideas. Because errors are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader, this warrants a Band 4.5 score, rounded to 5.0 based on the attempt at complex forms.
