Student answer (Band 5.0)
People have different views about whether competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing or we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. While some people believe that competition have motivate for best outcome, others argue that it can destroy the harmony anoungs people. This essay will discuss both perspectives before explaining why I believe that try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some people believe that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. One important reason is that motivation. This is because every one want to proof itself and thats give a best output. For example, education system create a consept of rank in acadmic result , the one score highest get the top rank and vice versa. As a result, childrens study more for the greed of top rank.
On the other hand some people believe that try to cooperate more, rather than competing. The main reason is that lack or harmony amoungs people and children. This is because every one is want to get the limelight. For instance, If 2 children in same class and one have some dought but insted of help other children ignore it because of the sake of rank as a result he is suffer from lack of knowliged.
Another impoltant reason is the skills growth. cooperating each others have growth diffrent type of skills amoung people and children that on individual basic is imposible, For example , Team of 5 people do a work so all 5 have diffrent types of skills so they transfer to eachother manytimes by just seeing moreover it also givs a team managment and other corprative skills that is nessasary in current world.
In Conclugen Personally, I believe that cooperation more, rather than competing because of harmony and skills devlopment . Although competition at work, can be beneficial in some situations, but cooperation amoung peoples greater benefits any day.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the views on competition and cooperation, and the student's own opinion is stated in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the first body paragraph attempts to explain why competition motivates students through the example of academic ranking, but the explanation remains basic with phrases like 'greed of top rank.' Similarly, the paragraphs supporting cooperation mention a lack of harmony and skill development, but these points are underdeveloped and lack sophisticated reasoning. The conclusion also introduces a partial thought regarding competition being beneficial in some situations without fully expanding upon it. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.5, as it addresses the prompt adequately but suffers from under-developed supporting ideas and over-generalized arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs, with a traditional introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, providing a generally coherent overall arrangement. The student attempts to use standard transitional markers such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'For example'. However, cohesion is often faulty and mechanical. For example, sentences within paragraphs are awkwardly linked, as seen in 'This is because every one want to proof itself and thats give a best output.' Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression is disrupted by abrupt shifts in topic and repetitive phrasing. Paragraphing is present and serves a structural purpose, but internal paragraph flow frequently breaks down due to basic connective errors, justifying a Band 5.0 score.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and frequently repetitive, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The student attempts to use less common items such as 'harmony', 'cooperation', and 'management', but these are often undermined by spelling and word-form inaccuracies like 'anoungs' for amongst, 'consept', 'acadmic', 'knowliged', 'impoltant', and 'devlopment'. Basic functional words are also misused, such as 'proof' instead of prove, and 'dought' instead of doubt. While the range is minimally adequate to convey the basic message of the prompt, the high frequency of lexical and spelling errors prevents the response from achieving a Band 6.0, resulting in a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing dependent clauses introduced by 'While', 'because', and 'If'. However, grammatical accuracy is notably weak, with frequent errors across almost every sentence. Frequent mistakes include subject-verb agreement issues ('competition have motivate', 'every one is want'), missing articles ('education system create a consept'), incorrect prepositions, and structural fragments ('This is because every one want to proof itself and thats give a best output'). Complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to sentences that require re-reading to understand, such as 'cooperating each others have growth diffrent type of skills amoung people'. These pervasive and systematic errors place the grammar score at Band 5.0.
