On the one hand, competition provides several benefits such as improve the problem solving skills and helps in become a independent person this is mainly because if any person compete with other their competaters than they will achive best position in their field as he can give their more efforts in that work which he was doing in their field and do competion. For example, in the school most of the students are competing with their classmates for achiving best marks in their academic field. As a result, it very useful for students because they can give their more efforts in doning study more and more and achived their diseare score in academic.
On the other hand, try to cooperate with individuals provides better relationship in every field like work and family this is largly because people should cooprate with their family mambers and any public. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on competition and cooperation, and includes a clear position in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument about how competition helps students achieve better academic marks is supported by a relevant example, but the reasoning is repetitive and lacks extension. Similarly, the points regarding cooperation in the workplace and family are generalized and rely on repetitive phrasing rather than deeply explored examples. To improve to a higher band, the writer would need to fully extend their ideas with more thorough explanations and specific, well-elaborated examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, dividing the introduction, two body paragraphs representing the two views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal structure, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', which helps guide the reader through the contrasting viewpoints. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, and referencing is not always completely clear. For example, transitional phrases like 'As a result' are overused and awkwardly applied to connections that are not strictly causal outcomes. Additionally, the progression within paragraphs stalls due to circular reasoning and repetitive sentence openings. More varied and precise cohesive devices are needed to achieve a more natural flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, providing enough words to communicate the basic argument, but the range is quite limited. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. For instance, phrases like 'great thing' miss necessary articles, and non-standard forms such as 'competaters', 'achiving', 'doning', 'diseare', 'mambers', 'roudly', 'employs', and 'indepentent' appear frequently. The writer attempts to use less common vocabulary like 'cooperate' and 'competition', but spelling and morphological inaccuracies prevent precise expression. A broader range of vocabulary and greater attention to word formation are necessary to improve in this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside some attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar, such as subject-verb agreement issues like 'competition... helps become', missing articles before singular countable nouns, and awkward prepositional patterns. For example, writing 'try to cooperate with individuals provides better relationship' contains a grammatical mismatch in the subject clause. Furthermore, sentences like 'I will dicuss eassy in upcoming paragraph' contain structural and phrasing errors. While communication is not entirely blocked, these persistent errors require the reader to work harder to parse the meaning.
