Student answer (Band 5.0)

Overall, Some of People's think about to compete with the students and the task at workplace and in their daily life's while others are tried to do more work and trying to cooperate with their work and in the daily life task, we should try to do task without competing to each other rather it's our workspace or our daily life task and commitments. Both of the opinions are good at their places.

Firstly, if we are searing as a student as professions or if we are doing any daily task and we are worked to move forward from other collogue; Students; People around us it's good things. It's help us to do our task on time and more efficient than others, But the drawback is; If we finish our task before time and before other person, we should not do more work this is wastage of time. Overall to do competition in daily routine is good for our reputation and for our work also. This is also a new skill that helps us to communicate and make us more confident that we have much ability to compete others.

While second perspective is Quite different in the if we are not competing we not able to communicate with others the evaluators will not come to know about the ability that we have. We just become an introvert person that has too busy in its own work do not compete with others. But the advantage of that is that we have learned a lot of skills in our field and related to out works. It also helps us to do more work Because that people will not communicate to other and not waste its time that is also helpful to them.

In my opinion I want to prefer that we should Compete others it helps us to grow our communication skills and it's fell us to make confident about our profession. And also, that we have to do more work we should not waste our time we have to learned new skills related to our field.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on competition and cooperation and attempts to provide an opinion in the conclusion, fitting the partial fulfillment characteristic of this level. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion on students and professionals in the second paragraph jumps abruptly between ideas—such as stating competition is good for efficiency, yet immediately claiming that finishing tasks early is a wastage of time. The student's position is somewhat unclear due to the disjointed presentation of arguments, and the reasoning throughout the body paragraphs is frequently repetitive and lacks clear extension with well-chosen examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation with attempts at paragraphing, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are often inadequate, inaccurate, or overused, creating a mechanical and disjointed flow between sentences. For example, transitional phrases like 'Firstly', 'While second perspective', and 'In my opinion I want to prefer' are used awkwardly and fail to smoothly connect the underlying concepts. Furthermore, referencing and pronoun use are frequently unclear, such as 'that people will not communicate to other and not waste its time', which makes it difficult for the reader to follow the logical links between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that frequently cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with word form, collocation, and word choice throughout the text, such as 'searing' instead of 'serving', 'collogue' instead of 'colleague', and 'daily life's'. The writer attempts to use some less common items like 'evaluators' and 'commitment', but these are often used inaccurately or inappropriately within the context, demonstrating a constrained lexical range that struggles to convey precise meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The text displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple or faulty complex sentence forms. There are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and plurals that cause significant difficulty for the reader. Examples of these frequent errors include 'Some of People's think about to compete', 'others are tried to do', 'It's help us', and 'we not able to communicate'. Punctuation is also poorly managed, with run-on sentences and misplaced full stops fragmenting the text and obscuring the underlying grammatical relationships.
