Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, everything become so competitive. Some individuals think that competetion in every sector is a good thing. Others have a debate about that and they believe that we should try to cooporate more, rather than competing against each other. In my opinion, trying to cooporate and helping each other is more important than become competitive. This essay will discuss both views and I will give the logic why I choose this opinion.
First and foremost, competition is a good practice to everyone because it gives the spirit to do work more efficiently and trying to do something better than others. Competitive mindset can help to generate an idea to compete others or co workers. Moreover, it helps to solve a problem faster to get appriciation from everybody. For instance, most of corporate sectors people try to solve problems or generate ideas faster to get appriciation and create place in the office as a productive and respected employee.
In contrast, Cooporation is a noble virtue. Those people who help everyone in every sector, they are usually loved by all. If people be more cooperative, everyone can do work more efficiently. Everyone can generate idea and can mix them, as a result, it could be a better project than one's generate. Furthermore, they can work more consistently cause one person never can do that much work what everyone can do. For example, openAI is one of the famous artificial antilligence (AI) company. This company had made by three leaders and two thounsands employees and their cooperation and generating ideas make this company this big.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that being cooperative can make works more easier rather than being competitive to each other because being competitive is not efficient than cooperation. Nevertheless, being competitive can bring appriciations but work perfectly with proper cooperation is better than appriciations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both the benefits of competition and cooperation, and clearly states a personal position in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas shows some unevenness. While the points regarding competition and cooperation are relevant, certain arguments, such as the example of OpenAI, are somewhat generalised and lack deep extension. The ideas are clearly relevant to the prompt, successfully fulfilling most requirements, but to reach a higher level, the arguments would need more thorough elaboration and specific, well-integrated examples throughout all body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear central topic for each paragraph. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, two body paragraphs, and the conclusion. There is a logical progression of ideas from discussing competition to discussing cooperation, and finally to a concluding summary. However, cohesion at times feels a bit mechanical or repetitive, using basic transition markers like 'First and foremost', 'In contrast', and 'In conclusion'. Referencing is generally understandable, but some cohesive devices are overused or slightly unnatural, which prevents the essay from achieving a more fluid and sophisticated organizational structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate the central message, showing attempts at less common items such as 'efficiently', 'cooperative', and 'appriciation'. However, the range is limited and noticeable errors in spelling, word form, and word choice occur throughout the text. Examples include repeated spelling mistakes like 'competetion' and 'cooporate', and awkward word choices such as 'make works more easier' and 'bring appriciations'. These lexical inaccuracies do not totally impede communication, but they restrict the vocabulary score, as the writer lacks the precision and flexibility characteristic of higher band levels.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer employs a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures like conditional clauses and relative clauses. There is, however, a restricted range of sentence structures overall, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors. Examples of grammatical lapses include subject-verb agreement issues ('everything become', 'one person never can do'), prepositional mistakes ('compete others'), and awkward phrasing like 'what everyone can do'. While these errors rarely completely impede the reader's understanding, their frequency across simple and complex sentences points to a lack of consistent grammatical control.
